Delaware Sports Betting Numbers Down Slightly in December
Following a steady increase in sports wagering activity this fall, Delaware saw a slight decrease in handle during December.
The state reported a handle of $12.6 million for the month ($7.5 million from sportsbooks, $5 million from sports lottery retailers), down 18.8% from November’s $15.6 million ($8.7 million from sportsbooks, $6.8 million from sports lottery retailers).
December’s sports betting revenue was in the red at -$969,520 ($296,809 from sportsbooks, -$1.2 million from sports lottery retailers). In November, Delaware recorded $4.6 million in revenue ($1.8 million from sportsbooks, $2.7 million from sports lottery retailers).
Delaware’s sports lottery retailers feature only football parlay cards. The state also doesn’t have a mobile sports betting market.
2021 Overall Figures
For the year, Delaware recorded a sports betting handle of $121.3 million ($89 million from sportsbooks, $32.3 million from sports lottery retailers), an increase of 34.4% from 2020’s $90.2 million ($57.6 million from sportsbooks, $32.6 million from sports lottery retailers).
The sports wagering revenue for the year was $17.1 million ($11.2 million from sportsbooks, $5.9 million from sports lottery retailers), up 0.4% from 2020’s $17.1 million ($8.3 million from sportsbooks, $8.7 million from sports lottery retailers).

Delaware iGaming numbers increased in November, with the state recording an iGaming handle of $30.1 million for the month, up 18.4% from October’s $25.5 million.
November’s iGaming revenue also went up with the state taking in $996,639, 7.2% more than October’s $930,093).
