Early Pac-12 Championship Odds & Oregon vs. Washington Prediction for 12/01

There's plenty at stake when Oregon takes on Washington in Las Vegas on Friday for the Pac-12 championship. The winner will be the final Pac-12 champion in the conference's history and assuredly get a spot in the College Football Playoff. In addition to the team stakes, the Heisman Trophy could be decided with Oregon's Bo Nix and Washington's Michael Penix two of the top candidates for the award. 

Despite Washington winning the first matchup 36-33 in Washington on Oct. 14, we're going with Oregon -9.5 (-110) at BetMGM. The Ducks have looked like one of the best teams in the country as of late, dominating then-No. 13 Utah 35-6 before topping No. 16 Oregon State 31-7 on Friday. 

Meanwhile, Washington hasn't looked ideal while finishing the regular season 12-0. The Huskies had to rally to beat a 3-9 Arizona State team 15-7 before their defense allowed Stanford to score 33 points and USC to put up 42. Washington then pulled out single-score wins over Utah (35-28), Oregon State (22-20) and Washington State (24-21). 

Oregon has simply been the better team since its last meeting with Washington, and given the dominant form of the Ducks, we're going to take Oregon to cover. This line opened at -7 and has been steamed up to -9.5 to highlight what sportsbooks and big money are leaning toward in this matchup.

⭐ Bo Nix Over Over 317.5 Passing Yards (-115) at FanDuel

Bo Nix has emerged as the clear favorite in the Heisman Trophy race. Nix is a -180 favorite to win the Heisman at FanDuel Sportsbook and could secure the award with another strong outing. 

We're going to bak Nix and take Bo Nix Over Over 317.5 Passing Yards (-115) at FanDuel. In the first matchup against Washington, Nix was able to have success against the Huskies, completing 33 of 44 passes for 337 yards and two touchdowns.

But it's more than what Nix did in his last meeting that has us expecting a big night from him on Friday. Nix has simply been on fire this whole season, but has especially been great down the stretch. Nix has thrown for at least 367 yards in each of his last four games. During that stretch, he's thrown for 1,569 yards and 16 touchdowns to just one interception. Nix has been simply too good for us to even consider taking an under on his passing yardage prop.

⭐  Best Bet:  Bucky Irving Over 90.5 Rushing Yards (-115) at BetMGM

Another Duck who had success against Washington the first time around was running back Bucky Irving. On the ground, Irving gained 127 yards rushing and averaged 5.8 yards per carry. We will target Irving for our second player prop in the Oregon vs. Washington showdown. 

We like Bucky Irving Over 90.5 Rushing Yards (-115) at BetMGM. Irving will get to face a Washington defense that ranks just 62nd in yards allowed per rush (4.2) Irving has also had four games of at least 100 yards this season, including the one against Washington. 

Washington will likely have to make concessions on defense to stop Bo Nix and Oregon's passing attack. The Huskies are 120th in passing yards allowed per game (265.2), and in an attempt to limit the Ducks through the air, could result in lighter boxes for Irving and the Oregon backs to attack. We like Irving to post a solid game against a below-average Washington defense.
