Semifinal Qualification Odds Eurovision 2023

The success of participants in securing their place in the Grand Final of this year's competition largely depends on the televote system. However, should a valid televote not be possible in a particular country, juries in that country will still have the power to vote for the respective semifinal. Adding to the excitement, non-participating countries' audiences are now able to vote for their favorite songs as well!

These factors might impact some Eurovision betting odds and could provide valuable insights for bookies and Eurovision betting enthusiasts who are attempting to predict which countries are most likely to qualify for the Grand Final.

So who will quailify and which are the six countries expected to leave the song contest after the second semifinal tonight?

1st Semifinal

The outcome of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023's first semifinal was as expected by bookmakers, with Finland and Sweden emerging as the top favorites. The running order of the performances was also noted to have a significant impact on the audience, with Käärijä and their Cha Cha Cha performance closing the show on a high note.

However, the big question for Eurovision betting enthusiasts is whether this performance will be enough to dethrone Loreen (-182). Indeed, the song Tattoo has maintained her position at the top of the winner betting odds since Loreen was selected to represent Sweden in this year's competition.

Pre-qualified countries - The Big Five

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, five countries will not participate in the semifinals, as the UK, France, Spain, Germany, and Italy are automatically qualifying for the Final. Four of these countries are anticipated to reach the top 10 in this year's edition of the competition. Bookmakers and special betting enthusiasts alike are keeping a close eye on the other competitors to see which ones will emerge as favorites to win the Eurovision 2023 trophy.

One of the favorites this year is France with "Evidemment," interpreted by La Zarra, a Canadian singer. This song has quite favorable odds and is predicted to have a strong chance of reaching the top 3 in the Final. While France video clip was promising, the performance delivered during rehearsals was a bit static and lacked the punch necessary to secure a victory in Saturday's Grand Final. As a result, the Eurovision betting odds for France (19) may have shifted slightly, leaving room for other competitors to emerge as potential qualifiers for the top 3 songs.

If Sweden does end up winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, it would mark their seventh win and match the record currently held by Ireland. As of now, Sweden is considered the front-runner and remains the favorite to take home the title.
