Las Vegas’ Ellis Island Among Resorts Offering Formula 1 Viewing Options
Spectators wanting to attend the inaugural Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix have several ticket options along the 6.12-kilometer, 14-turn street circuit.
The race is scheduled for Nov. 16-18.
Tickets Range From $2,000 To $5 Million
On the Las Vegas Strip, a luxury stay at Nobu Sky Villa inside Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace, including tickets to an Adele concert, can be had for $5 million.
Fans wanting to spend less to view the race have other options, including a $2,000 ticket at the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere Grandstands and a $5,000 viewing-and-hotel package on the race course at off-Strip Ellis Island Casino, Hotel, & Brewery. The $500 standing-room-only tickets at the Sphere have been sold out.
‘Best Views Of The Race’
For spectators wanting an off-Strip location to watch the race up close, the $5,000 package at Ellis Island hotel-casino on Koval Lane just east of the Strip includes two grandstand tickets for three days, a king or double-queen hotel room for three nights, and complimentary food, water and soft drinks.
Ellis Island is on Turn 4 as the race cars wind their way down an off-Strip route before ripping past the Sphere and speeding down the famed resort corridor.
“We strive to take what people love about the excitement of Las Vegas, listen to their feedback, and then try to surpass their expectations,” said Gary Ellis, founder and CEO of Ellis Island, Marker Trax and Koin. “Turn 4 at Ellis Island Casino is a natural extension of that. We’re right there, overlooking the track, giving people the best views of the race in the city, and at a price point that’s much more accessible than expected.”
Casino Offers Cashless Solutions
With Marker Trax and Koin, Ellis is among those carving a path in the gaming industry toward a digital landscape.
Marker Trax is a cashless, digital alternative to a casino marker, providing casinos with the tools to manage their casino credit underwriting and repayments.
Marker Trax President Charlie Skinner noted that “credit is the backbone of gaming.”
“It built the Las Vegas Strip, in fact,” he said. “Marker Trax makes the whole experience, both applying for and utilizing credit, so much more convenient than it’s ever been, for both the operators and the players.”
Koin is a payment solutions option for patrons to fund gameplay and make retail purchases using their mobile devices.
“I’ve long said the future is cashless, but really, now it’s the present,” Ellis said.
Gary Larkin, Koin’s president, said the digital wallet allows guest “check in to your hotel, play your favorite casino games, and reserve your show tickets, all under one roof.”
Sports Betting Available During Race
Back to the F1 race, sports fans won’t be able to catch the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders in person during that period in November -- or the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, the defending Stanley Cup champions. Both will be out of town.
The UNLV Rebels’ football and men’s basketball teams also are on the road during the F1 Grand Prix, though the women’s team is in town on Nov. 18. The WNBA season, with the Las Vegas Aces defending their national title, will have wrapped up its regular season by then.
However, fans looking for sports betting action can find it sportsbooks inside casinos all over the Las Vegas Valley.
Sports betting is legal in Nevada on mobile apps, such as Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM Sportsbook, that can be registered in person at a casino sportsbook affiliated with that app.
