The clash between the Lions (9-3; 8-4 ATS) and the Bears (4-8; 5-6-1 ATS) brings some very interesting NFL player props. Back in Week 11, these two divisional foes provided a high-scoring affair at Ford Field in Detroit, and the Lions outlasted the Bears 31-26 as 7.5-point home favorites. 

Detroit beat Chicago despite losing the turnover battle 4-1. The Bears had a 26-14 lead with just 4:15 remaining in the fourth quarter and held the ball in possession for 40:24, but it wasn’t enough. Detroit put 17 points on the scoreboard down the stretch, and Jared Goff finished 23-of-35 for 236 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions.

David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs scored a touchdown apiece in Week 11, and Amon-Ra St. Brown had eight catches for 77 yards and a TD. On the other side, Justin Fields led the way for the Bears. He tossed for 169 yards and a TD while carrying the pigskin 18 times for 104 yards, and DJ Moore had seven receptions for 96 yards and a TD. We’ll have all these guys in mind when we make the NFL picks today. 

The Lions have gone 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS over their last five games. They beat the New Orleans Saints 33-28 in Week 13, covering a 4-point spread away from home. The Bears, on the other side, are 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS in their past five contests. They are coming off a bye, and Chicago edged the Minnesota Vikings 12-10 on the road in Week 12 without scoring a touchdown. 

If you like NFL picks with strong betting trends, you should know that Detroit is 15-5 ATS in its last 20 games overall and 6-1 ATS in its previous seven outings on the road. Chicago owns one of the best run defenses in the league, allowing 79.0 rushing yards per game (tied-1^st) and 3.4 yards per carry (2^nd), so the Lions will probably have to rely on Goff’s arm a lot in this matchup.

For our next NFL pick today, we are taking Jared Goff once more. The Bears have allowed 29 offensive touchdowns so far this season and 23 of those 29 scored have come through the air which is enough for the third-most in the NFL. 

Goff has thrown for 3,288 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions so far this term, completing 67.7 percent of his passing attempts. He’s tossed for exactly two touchdowns in four consecutive outings, including that 31-26 victory over the Bears in Week 11. We’ll round up our NFL picks today with Amon-Ra St. Brown. The fourth-round pick from the 2021 NFL Draft is Jared Goff’s favorite target and leads the Lions in receptions (84) and receiving yards (1,042). He’s scored six touchdowns through 11 appearances this season.
