I was handicapping the Warriors vs. Cavaliers showdown last Sunday. Donovan Mitchell was among my NBA player props, and a four-time All-Star surpassed his 28.5-point mark in Cleveland’s 115-104 home victory over Golden State. Mitchell led the way for the Cavs with 31 points on 11-for-19 shooting from the field (5-for-11 from deep), while Stephen Curry scored 28 points (7-for-11 from downtown) for the Warriors.

The Cavs beat the Warriors for the first time since the 2017 NBA Finals when LeBron James was in town. The Warriors are 16-1 SU and 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 encounters with the Cavaliers, in case you like the NBA picks today with strong betting trends.

The Bucks are coming off Thursday’s 126-124 loss at the Indiana Pacers that stopped their three-game winning streak. Damian Lillard sat out due to a calf injury, and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with an NBA season-high 54 points. 

Lillard is questionable to play Saturday against the Magic, so we are targeting Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 29.5 Points (-110) at bet365 for our next NBA pick. Orlando is not a bad defensive team and surrenders 106.8 points per 100 possessions (3^rd), but slowing Antetokounmpo down will be a tall task for the Magic’s frontcourt. 

The Greek Freak has hit a 30-point mark in two of his last three outings. He went 19-for-25 from the field and 16-for-18 from the free-throw line against the Pacers. Giannis will stay aggressive and continue to attack the rim against Paolo Banchero and Moritz Wagner. Last season, Antetokounmpo was averaging 32.5 points on 62.9% shooting from the field through two meetings with Orlando.

The Celtics snapped a two-game skid last night, beating the Brooklyn Nets 121-107 at TD Garden in Boston. Jaylen Brown led the charge with 28 points, while Jayson Tatum double-doubled with 23 points and ten rebounds. Tatum had just 16 points in a 106-103 defeat at the Philadelphia 76ers last Wednesday, and we are expecting him to lead the way when the Raptors come to town. 

Tatum has only made 38.7% of his field goals over the last two games. He’s tallying 27.8 points per game on 51.6% shooting from the field this season, and we are taking Jayson Tatum Over 25.5 Points (-120) at FanDuel for our next NBA prediction. Last season, Tatum was averaging 26.0 points across two dates with the Raptors while spending just 29.3 minutes on the floor per game. 

The Raptors might struggle with fatigue tonight. They will close down a four-game road trip with a tough matchup against the Celtics, who own the fourth-best defensive rating in the league (107.0 points per 100 possessions). Tatum has hit a 30-point mark in five of his eight showings so far this term, and it’s tough to pass on his points prop in this clash.

NBA Player Prop #5: ⭐ Kyle Lowry Over 9.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings

Despite some injury problems, the Heat head to Atlanta riding a three-game winning streak. Last Wednesday, Miami outlasted the Memphis Grizzlies 108-102, and Tyler Herro exited with an ankle injury that will keep him on the sidelines for a while. It means more minutes for Kyle Lowry, who posted a line of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists against the Grizzlies. 

We’ll round up our NBA player props for Saturday’s slate with Kyle Lowry Over 9.5 Points (-110) at DraftKings. Across three games prior to Wednesday’s outburst, Lowry had scored just 14 points, but this matchup against the Hawks suits the six-time All-Star well. 

Atlanta ranks 21^st in the league in both defensive efficiency (114.3) and opposing field goal percentage (48.1%). The Hawks love to play fast and often neglect their defensive responsibilities.
