Indiana Pacers vs. Houston Rockets Prediction & Odds

NBA Best Bet Today #2: ⭐Pacers-Rockets Over 228.5 total points (-113) at FanDuel

We expect a high-scoring matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Houston Rockets. Indiana put up 114 points in regulation before losing 127-122 to the Grizzlies. Based off Indiana's recent game and Houston's past tendencies on offense, we are going to target the total in this one.

We like Pacers-Rockets Over 228.5 total points (-113) at FanDuel. The Pacers got up a high amount of 3s against the Grizzlies, going 13 for 53 from beyond the arc. Indiana highlighted how they're going to let it fly from 3, and with 53 attempts in its last game, we expect that volume to continue which should help the over.

It's hard to tell what we will get out of a new-look Houston team that added Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks in the offseason. A year ago the Rockets had the third-worst defense in the league, allowing 118.6 points per game. We don't expect the Rockets to ramp up the defensive intensity over a preseason game and wouldn't be surprised if the bad defensive tendencies continued. Combine that with Indiana's penchant for the 3, and we like the over.

Betting Pick: Pacers-Rockets Over 228.5 total points (-113) at FanDuel

Indiana Pacers vs. Houston Rockets Prediction & Odds

NBA Best Bet Today #3: ⭐Bennedict Mathurin two 3-pointers (-120) at bet365

Of Indiana's starters, Bennedict Mathurin played the most minutes and got the most shots up. Mathurin saw 22 minutes of action and converted on 7 of 13 shot attempts for 18 points. Based off his performance against the Grizzlies, we are going to target Mathurin's 3-point player prop for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.

We are going with Bennedict Mathurin two 3-pointers (-120) at bet365. Mathurin hit this prop against the Pacers, making 2 of 5 attempts from 3.

Given the shot volume of getting up five 3s, and how he played 22 minutes, we like Mathurin to make this prop. He averaged four 3-point attempts last season and was hunting his 3-point shot in the first preseason game, and we expect that to continue on Tuesday.

Betting Pick: Bennedict Mathurin two 3-pointers (-120) at bet365

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Memphis Grizzlies Prediction & Odds

NBA Best Bet Today #4: ⭐Luke Kennard three 3-pointers (-115) at bet365

Our last player prop we are going to target for Tuesday's NBA preseason action comes in the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies matchup. Memphis guard Luke Kennard had a poor shooting night in the preseason opener against the Indiana Pacers, making just 1 of 4 attempts from 3-point range, but he's typically been a strong 3-point shooter throughout his career and we anticipate a bounce-back performance.

We like Luke Kennard three 3-pointers (-115) at bet365. In 24 games with the Grizzlies last season, Kennard averaged 3.1 3s made per game, so this number is right in line with how he performed with Memphis last year.

Kennard also played 21 minutes in the first preseason game, which was the second-most minutes for a guard. Considering he should see the same type of workload, we expect some positive shooting regression from Kennard and will take him to make at least three 3-pointers against the Bucks.

Betting Pick: Luke Kennard three 3-pointers (-115) at bet365
