After posting a sports betting handle of nearly $100 million in October, New Hampshire saw a bit of a dip in November.

After posting over $98 million in October, The Granite State was down 15.3% in the handle department, bringing in $83,168,812.

New Hampshire Sports Betting Has Grown in 2022

Looking at the year-over-year numbers, however, New Hampshire has seen sports betting rise 78.8% from November 2020 to November 2021. November 2020 saw just $38,882,400 come in.

Considering the size of the state and that there is only one operator, DraftKings Sportsbook, the year-over-year increases show there is a desire for sports betting in this small New England State.

In addition to mobile betting, there are three retail sportsbooks in the state, located in Dover, Manchester, and Seabrook.

Seabrook is on the border of Massachusetts, and is benefitting from Massachusetts residents coming in to place bets.

With the state taking a 51% cut of all sports betting revenue, there was an increase from October 2021 to November 2021. The state saw a 14.3% increase, going from $2,560,651 in October to $2,926,241 in November.

Of course, this would indicate a rise in Gross Gaming Revenue as well, which saw a 14.1% increase, rising from $5,409,197 in October to $6,172,586 in November.

Another Big Month in NH

While the handle may have been down from October 2021 to November 2021, November 2021 was still significantly higher in terms of the handle if you compare it to September 2021. In September, there was a total handle of $68.123 million.

New Hampshire is located right in the heart of New England Patriots territory and with the increased success the team has had, this has likely encouraged those in the state to wager more, as well as Massachusetts residents crossing the neighboring border to do so as well.

New Hampshire Sports Betting Expansion?

Right now, as mentioned, DraftKings Sportsbook is the sole operator in New Hampshire. Since it launched in December 2019, it’s safe to ask if more sportsbooks will be coming to the state.

As of right now, there have not been any new updates, but we here at Gambling.com will keep you updated on all future developments in the state.
