New York Impact?

New Jersey had previously benefited from New York online sports betting market not yet being launched. Bettors from New York could travel across the border to place their bets and boost New Jersey’s annual sports betting handle.

That could be changing with New York officially going live with online sports betting on Jan. 8 when four of the nine approved sportsbooks began accepting bets. It remains to be seen what kind of impact New York’s market will have on New Jersey going forward.
