The Steelers are a near-touchdown favorite in this game at home, even with Trubisky under center. To be fair, the difference between Kenny Pickett and Trubisky isn’t that large. 

They’re taking on a Bailey Zappe-led Patriots team that scored zero points last week, even with DeVante Parker back in the lineup. 

Zappe completed about 50% of his passes, and there was no juice on offense. 

In relief for an injured Pickett, Trubisky had a touchdown and completed 11 of 17 passes.

The Steelers have a plethora of weapons and two capable running backs. For the first of our Best NFL Bets, take the Steelers moneyline to kick off this parlay. This should be a fairly easy win despite low scoring. 

We could see a 14-7 finish or something similar.

NFL Best Bet Today #2: ⭐  Mitchell Trubisky 150+ Passing Yards (-330) at DraftKings

Next, we have some NFL Player Props to add to this parlay. We’re taking an alternate line for Trubisky’s passing yards at 150+.

Look, 150 passing yards is a pretty low bar for a quarterback to hit. This season, the Patriots allow just over 234 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks. 

There is some cause for concern here with Trubisky, though. On 17 attempts last week, he finished with 117 passing yards. In Week 8 relief, he had 27 attempts and just 138 yards. 

In five starts last season, though, he had 150+ passing yards in four of them. The game he didn’t finish with 150+, Pickett entered the game against the Jets. 

As mentioned, the Patriots allow more than 234 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks, and this season, every quarterback they’ve played had thrown for at least 150 yards. 

So, for the second of our NFL picks on this parlay, take Trubisky throwing for 150+ yards.

NFL Best Bet Today #3: ⭐   Bailey Zappe Over 0.5 Interceptions (-190) at DraftKings

Finally, to round out our Patriots vs. Steelers Predictions, we will bet on Zappe throwing an interception here. 

Last week, he completed 13 of 25 passes for 141 yards. He managed to escape with zero touchdowns or interceptions, but that was against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that’s among the worst in the league.

Here, Zappe will face a Steelers defense at home on primetime that averages over one interception per game. There have been three games this season in which the Steelers managed to not get one, but against a young quarterback in Zappe with Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt bearing down on him, expect a lot of rushed mistakes here. 

Our prediction here is that it comes on a deeper pass to Parker.
