PointsBet To Live Stream Premium Events Via IMG Arena Partnership

PointsBet announced Tuesday that, through a two-year partnership with IMG Arena, it will now offer bettors “on-demand streaming access to more than 40,000 premium games and matches.”

About IMG Arena

IMG Arena, a sports data and technology hub, is headquartered in London and has “one of the largest portfolios of live streaming content in the world.”

To date, IMG Arena has distributed over 45,000 hours of content on an annual basis on behalf of more than 200 associations, events, and federations.

As part of its premium content, IMG Arena properties include the Major League Soccer, ATP Tour, Roland-Garros, FIVB volleyball competitions and leagues, EuroLeague basketball games, World Snooker, World Table Tennis, and more.

“Our north star is in-play betting, and the ability to offer our users with on-demand streaming content to elevate live betting is paramount,” PointsBet USA CEO Johnny Aitken said in a news release. “PointsBet is recognized as the home of in-play betting, and this partnership with IMG Arena solidifies our position as a leader in this space. We’re thrilled to tap into innovative concepts like this to improve the live betting experience for our users, all while bringing forth new ways to increase fan engagement throughout the year.”

Tennis Benefits From Deal

With this year-round streaming access, players will now have more access to tennis, with more than 10,000 ATP Challenger Tour matches and “close to” 25,000 total matches.

According to PointsBet, it has seen a 163% increase in overall handle for tennis and a 189% increase for tennis live betting.

“We are excited to partner with PointsBet, one of North America’s leading and most innovative sports betting operators,” Brian Clayton, Senior Director of Sales at IMG Arena, said in the release. “The deal allows players to improve their betting experience safely and significantly by increasing access to engaging, official content and watching more of the sports that they are betting on live.”

To access the live streams, players need not only an account but also funds in the account. This can be for an account at any PointsBet live market.

PointsBet currently operates in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, with online casinos in Michigan, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
