The first of our Premier League Week 17 predictions is arguably the biggest game of the season for both Everton and Burnley on Saturday, as the home team is five points behind Everton and in the relegation zone, despite the Toffees’ 10-point deduction.

This comes off the back of Everton winning three in a row, while it's been Burnley's worst-ever start to a Premier League season with just two wins all campaign long. 

On the other hand, it did get a commendable point at Brighton last weekend and also defeated Sheffield United 5-0 in its last home game.

Ultimately, it’s set to be a close match. Everton’s form is much better, but Sean Dyche’s team will be fully aware that Burnley cannot afford to lose this game and drop deeper into relegation.

We keep our EPL best bets going with the in-form Arsenal taking on Brighton & Hove Albion after both teams secured more wins in Europe during the week.

Arsenal can return to the top of the Premier League for a short while, should it win this game. However, Liverpool will go back above them into first place with a win over Manchester United the following day.

Our EPL prediction does, however, pick another win for the Gunners. They are heading into this game having lost to only Newcastle United and Aston Villa in the Premier League, and by beating Sevilla on Tuesday night, 

Mikel Arteta’s team finished their Champions League group stage campaign with four wins, 16 goals scored and just four conceded - no team put together a better goals difference record from the six matches.

Brighton has been way off it this season compared to the last campaign. It did manage to beat Marseille in the Europa League on Thursday, as it also finished top of its group stage campaign with the same amount of wins Arsenal achieved in the Champions League (4).

It is currently sitting down in eighth in the Premier League and no team has been involved in more goals than the Seagulls with 33 goals scored and 28 conceded.

This game likely ends with another Arsenal win and a return to the top of the table. However, we think Brighton could get at least one goal.

In reality, is there any way United wins this game? It lost during the week for the fourth time in the Champions League and finished with its worst-ever record in the competition by letting in a stunning 15 goals. 

It also lost to Bournemouth 3-0 at Old Trafford last weekend, and by suffering defeats to teams in the top four this season such as Manchester City and Arsenal, we fail to see how the Red Devils upset the odds here.

What’s more, in this fixture last season, United suffered its biggest-ever away loss in the Premier League, as Liverpool ran riot in a 7-0 thumping. Mohamed Salah has 12 goals in 12 matches against United after netting in that 7-0 win, and he also has a famous hat-trick against it back at Old Trafford two seasons ago. 

In fact, Salah has scored in six successive games against Liverpool’s arch rivals, so our EPL picks heads for goal number 13 in 13 games for him against United and another comfortable victory for the Reds.
