Ranking the Best Sportsbooks for Withdrawing Your Winnings

Depositing money into an online sportsbook is typically a seamless process. Select a payment method, enter in your personal details and the amount you wish to deposit, and boom – your money is instantaneously in your account.

All sportsbooks work in this same fashion, and it makes sense considering they want your money.

But withdrawing and getting your winnings can vary from book to book. I’ve been fortunate enough to win and withdraw on each of the three biggest sportsbooks in the country: FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM. Here is my experience with each and which one is my favorite.

For what it’s worth, we’ll be comparing the three based on the online banking withdrawal method and BetMGM’s unique feature that I enjoy. If PayPal is your go-to withdrawal method, I never noticed any discernible difference between the three books with the timing taking the same one to two days the operators claim it will take to receive your funds.

Here’s a breakdown of the top three.

DraftKings

DraftKings Sportsbook is my favorite sportsbook to withdraw from, but it comes with a caveat. The reason DraftKings earned my top spot is because of the expedited withdrawals it offers its VIP members.

If you have at least $2,500 to withdraw, you can request it to be expedited.

Once your VIP agent confirms it to payment processing, you receive your funds instantly in your bank account. This means if you hit a golf future or a big parlay, and use the expedited withdrawals feature in the VIP program, your money will be in your account in minutes.

From my experience, there is no limit to the number of expedited withdrawals you can request in a week.

You simply need to request it through your VIP agent who will process it.

This process could vary based on the VIP agent given to you in your state. But I have been fortunate enough to have respondent agents in both Michigan and now Colorado.

BetMGM

Not looking to join a VIP program and want an expedited withdrawal? Then BetMGM Sportsbook is the best sportsbook for getting your money.

All sportsbooks allow you to deposit with a debit card. But only BetMGM allows you also to withdraw your winnings to the same debit card. And the funds come fast.

Thanks to the Pittsburgh Pirates covering the +1.5 run line and winning outright against the San Diego Padres, I was able to send in a request to withdraw to the same debit card I just deposited with on BetMGM.

At 12:04 a.m. I received an email that BetMGM had received my withdrawal request. It just took 41 minutes for my winnings to hit my account.

I did not have to request an expedited withdrawal, and I am also not a member of BetMGM’s VIP program, meaning this feature is available to all its users.

BetMGM’s debit card withdrawal is the best out there right now for all players.

FanDuel

Without the instant debit card withdrawal feature and slower response times on the expedited withdrawals, FanDuel Sportsbook comes in third on my withdrawal sportsbook rankings.

There have been slow response times when requesting an expedited withdrawal from the FanDuel VIP representative, occasionally lasting multiple days which lasted longer than the standard withdrawal time.

Technically you’re also only allowed one expedited withdrawal per week, another limitation here that DraftKings doesn’t have.

And as previously mentioned, there is no instant withdrawal to your debit card available at FanDuel, either.

Overall, withdrawing from FanDuel isn’t an unpleasant experience; eventually, I receive my winnings. But FanDuel just doesn’t have the best features available compared to DraftKings and BetMGM.
