Rush Street Interactive (RSI) is bringing its online casino and mobile sports betting platforms to Ohio, Maryland and Missouri, the company announced on Tuesday.

How Rush Street Deal With Penn National Works

RSI announced it has entered into a partnership with Penn National Gaming, giving RSI the ability to offer its award-winning BetRivers.com real-money internet casino and sports betting platform BetRivers Sportsbook Maryland, Ohio and Missouri, subject to license availability, state law and regulatory approvals.

Following the launch of the skins in each state, RSI will compensate Penn National with industry-standard payments in exchange for market access.

“We are pleased to gain potential market access to three new states as we continue the execution of our strategy to gain access and bring our best-in-class online gaming offerings to key markets across the United States,” Richard Schwartz, president of RSI, said in a media release. “The addition of Ohio, Maryland and Missouri to our market access portfolio, specifically, builds on RSI’s success in neighboring states and will create enhanced marketing efficiencies for our BetRivers.com brand.

“We continue to engage in productive dialogue with industry participants, such as tribal and commercial casinos and other stakeholders, to further our expansion into new states. We expect to continue entering into additional market access arrangements in the future, as other opportunities arise.”

The agreement with Penn National also provides RSI a right of first offer for a potential skin in Texas through Penn National, subject to state law and regulatory approvals.

RSI’s Reach, Other Offerings

Currently, RSI operates regulated online gaming sites in eight states with a combined population of more than 68 million, including Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia. RSI also has existing market access deals for online gaming in New York, Ohio, Maryland, Missouri and West Virginia. Through the deals, RSI has the potential to access online gaming markets in more than 35% of the U.S. population.

In addition to its real-money online casino and sports wagering offerings, RSI also has immersive social gaming options that provide tailored retail wagering services to in-casino sportsbooks.
