The Seahawks had a dismal showing in Week 1, squandering a 13-7 halftime lead and allowing the Rams to rack up 23 unanswered points. They ended the game with just 180 total yards, while giving up 426. Gino Smith completed 16-of-26 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown, and DK Metcalf had three catches for 47 yards and a TD. Kenneth Walker III contributed 64 rushing yards on 12 carries. However, Seattle's passing defense was a significant letdown, allowing Matthew Stafford to throw for 334 yards.

Given their recent track record, Seattle is now 1-9 ATS in its last ten games and 1-4 ATS in its last five road games. They've also failed to cover the spread in seven consecutive NFC matchups. With this in mind, the Seahawks +6 ATS (-110) at BetMGM could be a betting angle to consider, especially given their consistent struggles against the spread.

Key Players Missing: Jamal Adams (questionable, quad), Charles Cross (questionable, toe), Abraham Lucas (questionable, knee) 

The Lions pulled off a surprising win against the Chiefs in the 2023 season opener, capitalizing on Travis Kelce's absence to limit Kansas City to just 20 points and 316 total yards. Detroit amassed 368 total yards, with David Montgomery carrying the ball 21 times for 74 yards and scoring the game-winning touchdown with 7:06 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Jared Goff had a solid performance, completing 22 of 35 passes for 253 yards and a touchdown. Receivers Josh Reynolds and Amon-Ra St. Brown also had strong games, with four receptions for 80 yards and six catches for 71 yards and a TD, respectively.

When it comes to Seahawks vs. Lions NFL picks, it's worth noting that the Lions have been excellent against the spread lately. As I’ve mentioned, Matthew Stafford tortured the Seahawks for 334 yards last Sunday. Their secondary is the team’s biggest flaw, and I’m expecting the Lions to lean on Jared Goff’s arm a lot. Goff threw for a whopping 378 yards in that 48-45 loss to the Seahawks last season. 

• DK Metcalf to score a TD (-110) at FanDuel 

DK Metcalf is Gino Smith’s favorite target. He’s a weapon in the red zone, and Metcalf already scored in Week 1 despite tallying just three receptions. Last season, Metcalf had just six touchdowns after scoring 12 in 2021.
