Hockey's Strong March Results

Thanks to March Madness, basketball was the most bet on sports in Nevada during the month. Basketball took in $708.9 million in wagers.

Other sports combined for $74 million of the handle, while hockey was second at $73.9 million.

Baseball was the only other sport to exceed the $1 million mark, taking in $5.6 million in bets. Football rounded out the top five at $472,075.

With the NBA betting playoffs starting in April and NHL postseason set to begin, expect both basketball and hockey to be near the top in handle numbers going forward.

Baseball will also see an increase in handle with the MLB season beginning in April.
