Tennessee Officials Set NFL Draft Guidelines
With the NFL draft only a couple of weeks away, Tennessee gaming regulators have posted wagering rules that online bookmakers are required to follow.
The draft runs April 28-30 in Las Vegas, with NFL teams adding to their rosters from the top collegiate players.
The draft is closely followed by fans and is popular among bettors. NFL betting events, including regular season games and the Super Bowl, are among the most popular in the country.
NFL Draft Rules
Though Tennessee does not have brick-and-mortar sportsbooks, mobile wagering has been legal anywhere in the state since November 2020.
The online bookmakers operating in the Volunteer State are required to abide by the following Tennessee Sports Wagering Advisory Council Guidelines for the 2022 NFL Draft.
- All pre-draft wagers must be made and accepted before the first selection of the draft.
- In-draft wagers are only permitted in Rounds 1 through 3.
- In-draft wagers must be placed and accepted at least two selections before the actual selection event as these selection events occur on the NFL Network broadcast. For example, a wager on pick No. 17 being a wide receiver would need to take place before selection No. 15.
- Round-specific wagers: Wagers related to each round must be offered and accepted before the start of that specific round, including any trades that occur for that round.
