'The Masked Singer' Opens 10th Season With Surprise Exit
"The Masked Singer" has returned for the show's 10th season, and one character has already been eliminated.
Rubber Ducky was unveiled as Anthony Anderson after the actor and comedian's performance of "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners failed to impress.
Cow Early Frontrunner for Masked Singer Win
Judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger are back for the 10th installment of the contest.
Jeong is off to a great start after he successfully predicted Anderson was under the Rubber Ducky mask.
Four other characters -- Gazelle, Diver, S'More and Cow -- also sang in Week 1 after a special Kick Off episode aired on Sept. 10, during which Demi Lovato was unveiled as Anonymouse, but the character wasn't officially one of the 16 taking part in Season 10.
On Wednesday night, Cow performed "Bones" by Imagine Dragons, and it was enough to put the moo at the top of the futures betting as +200 favorite.
One of Cow's clues was that they have "won Grammys, traveled the world, and made hit after hit after hit.”
Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman - who McCarthy-Wahlberg predicted - is the +200 favorite to be under the mask, followed by Leslie Odom Jr. (+300) and Kellie Pickler (+400). McCarthy-Wahlberg's other shout, Usher, is a +700 outsider.
Idol Star Favorite To Be S'More
S'More is +300 second favorite to win the contest at this early stage, and it is just +100 that former "American Idol" star Justin Guarini is under the character's mask.
Several clues that could relate to "Idol," which Guarini finished runner up on in 2002's first season, came up, including S'More saying, "I started out on a rocket to fame, a journey from obscurity to major heartthrob status in a matter of weeks."
Diver is the third favorite for "Masked Singer" glory at +400, and the character claimed to be "the most hated creature in the ocean right now.”
As a result, Vanderpump Rules star and singer Tom Sandoval is the hot +100 favorite to be Diver, who also said he is "usually pretty pumped" and that he's been "everyone’s favorite person to hate.”
Jeong predicted Sandoval could be behind the mask, while McCarthy-Wahlberg guessed Scott Disick (+300), and Scherzinger opted for Adam Levine (+500). Jacob Tremblay (+200) and Tom Segura (+400) are also in contention.
But Gazelle is currently propping up the early "Masked Singer" market at +400.
McCarthy-Wahlberg's guess, Camila Mendes, is the +200 favorite to be under the mask, followed by Thicke's prediction Lucy Hale, who is +300, and Scherzinger's guess Vanessa Hudgens (+400).
Next week, it will be NFL Night on "The Masked Singer.”
