The Seven Louisiana Online Sportsbooks Launching Tomorrow
With the launch date for Louisiana sports betting set for Friday, January 28th, we already know a bit about which online sportsbooks will launch in the state.
Indeed, with several operators already approved and many more under consideration, there could be up to 41 LA betting apps in the near future. In this article, we’ll take a look at all the big-name players.
Which sportsbetting brands are already confirmed in Louisiana?
As state regulators work overtime to confirm the suitability of LA betting apps, there are a handful of operators who’ve already been cleared for launch tomorrow.
One of the biggest names among these is Caesars Sportsbook Louisiana, which has been accepting pre-registrations from players for a number of weeks already.
Alongside them, daily fantasy sports betting heavy hitters DraftKings and FanDuel already have land-based partnerships in the state and will also launch on Friday.
That trio will be joined by another big name in the form of BetMGM Louisiana, while online giant Betfred also recently received approval in the state.
Rounding out the list, LA players will also be able to wager at BetRivers Louisiana and PointsBet Sportsbook Louisiana when the first sportsbooks officially launch.
What other online sportsbook apps are likely to join them in future?
As we said, the confirmed list of LA betting apps is just the tip of the iceberg for the state. With Louisiana laws making provisions for up to 41 licensed sports betting sites, many more could follow.
Given the brand operates a retail sportsbook in Louisiana, it would be a surprise if the Golden Nugget’s online app didn’t start accepting players soon.
Horse racing giant TwinSpires also looks to be preparing to enter Louisiana and will offer players markets on many sports, including bets on the NFL.
Although not yet live in Louisiana, it is believed that Bally Bet Sportsbook is also another name currently under consideration. Operating a physical casino in the state, it would seem a straightforward launch.
With officials having confirmed the launch of the online sports betting in Louisiana just in time before Super Bowl LVI, the full list of approved sites should be growing soon. According to statements from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, the reason for the launch hold-up was not wanting to release a shabby product to players.
Are there any pre-registration bonuses I can claim at Louisiana betting sites?
Yes. Of the confirmed LA betting apps, several are already accepting pre-registrations and have provided details of their early bird offers.
Caesars LA Sportsbook, DraftKings Louisiana, FanDuel Louisiana and BetMGM’s LA betting app are all offering free bets to players worth between $100 and $300.
What’s more, early registrants at Caesars Sportsbook Louisiana will also be eligible for an enhanced $3,000 first deposit match. In order to claim it, they simply need to pre-register and deposit when the app goes live using code GAMBLENEW. Sportsbook promo codes for the other sites are also available.
Louisiana is not the only state that has regulated sports betting. Another one that's in the process is Kansas. Hopefully. Kansas online sportsbooks will go live by the end of the 2022, allowing Kansas bettors to join the sports betting party.
