Headed into this NFL Week 8 matchup, and as we look into our first Falcons vs. Titans prediction, we’re taking a chance on the under in receiving yards for Atlanta wideout Drake London. 

London has surpassed 52 receiving yards this season in four games, including three in a row.

So why take the under here?

Over the past three games, the Titans have allowed under 200 passing yards per game. Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder has thrown for more yards recently, including two 300+ yard games and 250 yards last week, but he also had five turnover-worthy plays in that stretch. 

In that same three-game span, the Titans have allowed 134.7 rushing yards per game. 

The Titans are starting a rookie quarterback this week. We should be conservative with how we think he’ll perform statistically, leading to the Falcons potentially leading for a solid stretch and using the rushing attack of Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier to milk the clock.

Against the Titans, he’ll be covered primarily by linebacker Jack Gibbens. On 134 coverage snaps, Gibbens has allowed just five catches on seven targets for 46 yards across six games.

Well, it’s quite simple—London has never had a rush attempt in his career. Sure, it could happen on a random reverse this week, but for a guy who’s never done it in his career, we’ll take our chances.
