Who Will Draft Will Levis? Sportsbooks List the Favorites
Much of the hype leading up to the first day of the NFL Draft centered around Kentucky quarterback Will Levis.
On NFL betting boards, he became the favorite to go No. 2 to the Houston Texans and moved from +5000 to as low a +400 to be the No. 1 overall pick.
But the positive speculation was all for naught. Levis was not selected during Thursday’s first round and will have to wait for his name to be called on Friday.
Scouts and analysts pointed to Levis’ physical attributes and arm strength as reasons he could be a top pick. But his college production left something to be desired as he completed just 65% of his passes and threw 43 touchdowns to 23 interceptions. There were also concerns about his left toe, which forced him to miss two games last season.
“There’s so many good things about Will Levis,” ESPN’s Todd McShay said after the draft, “but there were some negatives. You look at the 23 interceptions the last two years, and only two guys were worse than him and they had at least 300 pass attempts. So, the percentage of turnovers was a problem.
“The biggest thing studying tape was inside the pocket when he’s bottled up a little bit and pressure started to come, he didn’t really trust his eyes and see the whole field.”
McShay also raised possible personality red flags, with the ESPN analyst noting Levis may not have come off with an ideal personality with some arrogance during his interviews.
Who Is Favored to Take Levis?
FanDuel Sportsbook has a betting prop listed for who will take Levis.
Here are the favorites.
Tennessee Titans +250
The Titans are the favorites to land Levis, with the No. 41 and No. 72 picks in the second and third rounds.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is coming off a 2022 year cut short because of an ankle injury, and 2022 third-round pick Malik Willis had an underwhelming performance in his first season.
Tannehill’s health and Willis’ lack of development could be reasons the Titans pursue Levis.
Los Angeles Rams +500
Matthew Stafford is struggling with health, playing just nine games in 2022. So, the team could look toward drafting his replacement.
The Rams have the No. 36 pick and, if they take Levis, would allow head coach Sean McVay to develop a young quarterback in his system.

Las Vegas Raiders +850
The Raiders ended the Derek Carr era this offseason and elected to sign Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year deal.
But with the 38th pick, the Raiders could add Levis to give them another quarterback option, or at least give Garoppolo a backup they could develop while their new quarterback plays out his deal.
