The 32nd season of "Dancing With The Stars" got underway on Tuesday night with 14 celebrities and their pro partners strutting their stuff on the dance floor.

Comedian Matt Walsh was the first star to be eliminated after he failed to impress the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli, but reality TV star Charity Lawson was the star of the night.

Lawson's 'Tango Stunner'

In this year's series — co-hosted by Alfonso Ribero and Julianne Hough — the contestants will compete for the "Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy", which has been re-named in honour of late "DWTS" panelist Len Goodman, who died in April at age 78.

Lawson is the early +200 favorite to land the silverware after The Bachelorette star scored 22 out of 30 on her "DWTS" debut, and Tonioli described her routine as a "Tango stunner.”

Singer Jason Mraz, who is +300, scored one point less, with all three judges awarding him seven out of 10.

Hough gave Mraz a standing ovation for his Cha Cha, and he is level in the futures betting alongside Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix, who also scored 21.

Social media star Lele Pons broke a nail during her dance, but that didn't put her off. She impressed with an opening 19 out of 30, and Hough thought it was "strong" and “powerful.”

Those are qualities former NFL player Adrian Peterson has become known for during his career, as well as his fancy footwork. The running back scored 18 out of 30 on "DWTS", but he came unstuck for his footwork, with Tonioli advising him to loosen up a bit.

Actor Xochitl Gomez also scored 18, and Inaba gave her some big early praise, saying she has the "it" factor.

Williams 'Thoroughly Impresses'

Mighty Aphrodite star Mira Sorvino is +600 in the futures betting after a 17 out of 30 score for her Cha Cha, which panelist Inaba said the late Goodman would've loved.

The Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams is just behind at +700 after his 16 out of 30.

Hough loved how "effortless" Williams made his routine look, and the panelist gave actress Jamie Lynn Spears -- the younger sister of Britney Spears — a confidence boost by insisting she is better than she thinks she is.

Spears, who scored 15 out of 30, is +800 to win "DWTS," while fellow actor Alyson Hannigan is +1000 after a 13 out of 30 for her Salsa.

Comedian Walsh was eliminated after a 12 out of 30 performance, but he nearly wasn't even part of the premiere. He quit the contest last week in support of the writers' strike, only to return to the competition for after a deal was finalized.

Reality TV star Harry Jowsey (+1200) and model Tyson Beckford (+1200) also scored 12 out of 30, but real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky (+1400) landed in the bottom two alongside Walsh, despite a 15 out of 30 debut.
