Who Will Win the Voice? We're Down to the Final Five
The Voice coach Blake Shelton has two chances to win the show for a 10th time in his last season.
The first part of the live finale aired on Monday night, with the second half to come on Tuesday evening, and Shelton's two hopes have put him in a fantastic position for glory.
The departing coach has two of the top three in the betting after NOIVAS and Grace West progressed through the semifinal and impressed on Monday night.
Shelton's fellow coaches Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper each have one contestant heading into Tuesday's final episode of the current 23rd season.
It will also be Shelton's final season, with country music legend Reba McEntire set to appear on The Voice season 24 as a coach, alongside current coach Niall Horan and returning stars John Legend and Gwen Stefani.
Horan will be no doubt be hoping he can go into season 24 with a victory under his belt, and his chances rest with second favorite Gina Miles, while Chance's Sorelle and Clarkon's D. Smooth complete the market.
With these hypothetical odds provided by industry sports betting experts, we've looked into which remaining five The Voice contestants have what it takes to be the show's season 23 winner ahead of Tuesday night's finale.
Odds to win The Voice
West Still On Top Ahead Of Finale
The five remaining acts had to sing a ballad and an up-tempo song in the first part of the live finale on Monday night.
West impressed as the star remains the favorite going into Tuesday night's spectacle, and her odds have even been cut slightly to +150, with a 40% implied probability, from +200 last week.
The country star got Monday's episode started with a performance of upcoming The Voice coach McEntire's version of "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" as her up-tempo choice.
And she received plenty of praise from Shelton, who described her rendition as "just incredible."
During rehearsals, he tipped her as a possible season winner and said: "Grace is only 19 years old, but I don't know that I worked with a country singer any better."
West's ballad choice was "She's Got You" by Patsy Cline, and Horan told the star she had saved her best two performances for the finale, with Shelton praising his act as "unbelievable."
Miles Into Second Favorite On The Voice
But Horan had plenty of superlatives saved up for his contestant, Miles.
She wowed the crowd and coaches with her rendition of Sinead O'Connor tune "Nothing Compares 2 U" as her ballad pick and Taylor Swift's "Style" for her up-tempo choice.
Miles' impressive performance has now seen her leapfrog NOIVAS into +250 second favorite to win The Voice, from +350 third favorite last week.
After her second performance of "Nothing Compares 2 U", Horan told the star: "I'm so proud of you. That was absolutely incredible.
"I am so glad we chose that song to send you out before the votes open up. That was a special moment on The Voice for me. I won't be forgetting that one any time soon."
The Voice's NOIVAS Slips To Third Favorite
NOIVAS was the favorite to win The Voice just a few weeks ago, but he has slipped down the market and now finds himself as the +350 third favorite.
Despite that, Shelton's star still showed in the first part of the finale that he could have what it takes to go all the way and win the season.
NOIVAS sang Chris Stapleton's song "Cold" for his ballad and Clarkson was quick to praise the choice, admitting it was a "great song selection."
After his up-tempo performance of "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz, NOIVAS thanked Blake for helping him to "go to that next level."
The Voice coach returned the compliment, telling NOIVAS he "killed" his final performance.
Sorelle And D Smooth Are The Voice Outsiders
Sorelle remains +500 fourth favorite to triumph in the competition.
The trio went for Marvin Gaye's "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" as their up-tempo hit, and Chance was delighted with his act, telling them: "It was pitch perfect. I loved it. I can’t overstress."
For their ballad, the sister group picked "Million Reasons" by Lady Gaga, and Chance admitted he is "incredibly proud" of his act, saying: "The harmonies were so tight. I love hearing you guys individually."
D Smooth is the outsider to triumph on the show, but it wouldn't be a shock if he were to win the contest.
He is +700 for The Voice victory and certainly did himself no harm with his ballad performance of "My, My, My," with Clarkson insisting Smooth is "already a star."
She said: "You were performing like it was your audience."
Smooth went for "What You Won’t Do For Love" by Bobby Caldwell for his up-tempo choice, and Clarkson pleaded with America to vote for the star.
Whether they did or not will all be revealed on Tuesday night during the two-hour finale, when one of West, Miles, NOIVAS, Sorelle or Smooth will be crowned the season 23 winner.
