Will Kamala Harris Appear At Taylor Swift's Eras Tour To Boost Election Hopes?

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump's race for the White House looks set to go right down to the wire. 

Not much separates the two U.S. presidential candidates on betting sites at the time of writing, despite Harris receiving a boost for the young vote last month when pop megastar Taylor Swift publicly endorsed the Democratic Party nominee. 

Following Harris' presidential debate with Trump, Swift took to Instagram to back Harris, writing: 

"Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. 

"If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.

"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. 

"It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. 

"I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.

"I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.

"I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. 

"I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.

Swift's Instagram post received more than 11.3 million likes, and while she has urged people to make their own choices, the star is a cultural icon and has plenty of influence.

Harris Heading To Eras Tour?    

Vice President Harris has even recently been attempting to capitalise on Swift's support. 

Ahead of her Eras Tour shows in Miami last weekend, new Swift-inspired Snapchat filters and billboards appeared encouraging people to vote for Harris. 

They read: "We're in our Kamala Era." 

One of the billboards was erected near Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, where the Love Story hitmaker performed last weekend. 

What's more, the Democratic National Committee's campaign also includes Swift-inspired Snapchat filters that feature phrases such as "Be fearless for," a nod to the superstar singer's second studio album, Fearless.

Another way of boosting Harris' U.S. election chances on political betting sites could be for the politician herself to attend a Swift show before the election on Nov. 5. 

Time is running out for Harris, but she is -150 to make an appearance at one of the Shake It Off star's pre-election Eras Tour gigs. 

While it would be an unusual tactic to rock up at a show just days ahead of the election, it could be a smart move for Harris, especially if it encourages some of the youngsters - which is a critical demographic in the race for the White House - to vote for her. 

During a segment on Fox News' Fox & Friends morning news program, Trump responded to Swift's Instagram post support of Harris. After calling in, Trump said he liked Brittany Mahomes - the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the teammate of Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce - "better."

He said, "Well, I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better, if you want to know the truth."

Trump also described Mrs. Mahomes as a "big Trump fan," and said Swift would "pay a price" for endorsing a Democrat "in the marketplace." 

He added, "I was not a Taylor Swift fan."

Harris' New Orleans Campaign Trail    

Harris is a Swift fan, though, and if she does rock up at one of the star's shows then it is most likely to be one of her New Orleans gigs later this week. 

Swift will play a hat-trick of shows at the Caesars Superdome - where the 2025 Super Bowl will take place - from Friday to Sunday. 

It's +100 on betting apps that Harris shows up at one of the Louisiana gigs, or +300 she makes an appearance at one of Swift's three upcoming Indianapolis concerts, from Nov. 1-3. 

If Harris is going to watch Swift belt out the likes of top tunes Style, Blank Space and Karma before the election then it is far more likely she does so this weekend. 

Next weekend's three shows at the Lucas Oil Stadium are perilously close to the election date. 

Harris' No Go 

It is also +150 on specials betting sites that Harris doesn't attend one of Swift's gigs pre-election. 

It might send out the wrong message to some that their potential president is at a pop concert just days before landing the most powerful job in the world. 

What's more, whether Harris is successful or not on Nov. 5, she will still have time to catch one of Swift's Eras Tour concerts, and potentially give thanks for all her support. 

Which Venue Will Kamala Harris Appear At During Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Odds 

The star is heading to Toronto on Nov. 14, where she will play six shows until Nov. 23. 

The Lover hitmaker will conclude her epic tour with three dates in Vancouver from Dec. 6-8. 

If Harris has tasted defeat on Nov. 5, it wouldn't be a huge surprise see her at one of these Canadian concerts.
