Are The Favourites Too Good To Be True?
It’s clear that Scottie Scheffler will go off as favourite to win the Masters, while Corach Rambler is the clear market leader when it comes to the Grand National.
BoyleSports are offering 32/1 that both of these selections win and it wouldn’t be a major surprise if this happens.
Scheffler arrives at Augusta as the form player, with the American having won his first Green Jacket in 2022 and he was tied 10th in last year’s event.
He recently won the Arnold Palmer Invitational before going on to land the Players’ Championship at Sawgrass.
Meanwhile, Corach Rambler is the favourite to repeat last year’s Aintree success by winning the Grand National.
The Lucinda Russell-trained runner finished third in last month’s Cheltenham Gold Cup and could be favourably weighted to land another triumph.
Can Lowry And I Am Maximus Deliver For Ireland?
For those that expect some luck of the Irish at Augusta and Aintree, you can get a monster 407/1 with betting apps that Shane Lowry and I Am Maximus are successful in their respective events.
The Irishman won the Open Championship in 2019 and he was tied third at the 2022 Masters, with the player having made the cut in the past four renewals.
We know that Lowry’s game is suited to Augusta considering how strongly he can perform with the wedges and he’s a player that generally makes the cut at major tournaments, even if his last success came at the BMW PGA Championship in September 2022.
As for I Am Maximus, the horse is currently trading as the second favourite to win the 2024 Grand National, with this being one of several JP McManus-owned runners in the field.
Willie Mullins trains an eight-year-old who was victorious at Fairyhouse last time out when defeating Vanillier over three miles, one and a half furlongs.
Previously to this, the horse was found wanting against Gold Cup champion Galopin Des Champs in runs at at Leopardstown, although there’s a quiet confidence that the runner is favourably weighted for the Aintree showdown.
Will Matsuyama And Coko Beach Produce A Shock At 778/1?
Hideki Matsuyama knows what it takes to win a Green Jacket at Augusta.
The Japanese sensation won the 2021 Masters tournament and certainly has the game to be triumphant once again.
The 32-year-old has an excellent record in this major, having made the cut on nine consecutive occasions.
Matsuyama was tied 16th a year ago, having finished tied 14th the year before when defending his crown.
This ultra-consistent player also posted a fourth placed finish in the 2022 US Open and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him high up on the leaderboard.
Should you wish to pair the Japanese golfer with Coko Beach to win the Grand National, you can currently secure odds of 778/1 with new betting sites.
The horse is one of the top-weighted runners in the Aintree spectacular, with Gordon Elliott saddling a runner who has won two of his four outings this season.
The nine-year-old was last seen winning at Punchestown in early February when landing the spoils in a Cross Country Chase, with this coming after a second-placed finish in the Becher Chase at Aintree.
The Gigginstown horse certainly has the potential to perform well on the soft ground in Liverpool.
