888 Holdings Names Sean Wilkins As Chief Financial Officer
One of the best online casinos and betting site operator has announced the hiring of seasoned industry professional Sean Wilkins to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer.
The firm behind the 888poker, Mr Green and 888sport brands revealed that Wilkins has 17 years of experience with a host of public and private companies.
He was most recently employed as the Chief Financial Officer for omni-channel gaming and betting provider Superbet.
Before joining Superbet, which has operations in Poland, Belgium, Serbia and Romania, Wilkins is said to have held top financial officer posts at several consumer-facing enterprises including Domino’s Pizza Group PLC, Tesco Telecom, Big Bus Tours, O2 Asia and Tesco Malaysia.

London-listed 888 Holdings is also responsible for the 888casino and Wink Bingo iGaming domains and explained that its current Chief Financial Officer, Yariv Dafna, will be stepping down on October 2 to be replaced on an interim basis by its Chief Strategy Officer Vaughan Lewis.
The company went on to proclaim that this process will be completed on February 1 with the appointment of Wilkins “following an orderly handover of responsibilities”.
Lord Jonathan Mendelsohn serves as the Non-Executive Chair for 888 Holdings and disclosed that the appointment of Wilkins followed “a thorough search process” and comes just three months after the operator hired Per Widerstrom to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer.
The Labour peer additionally declared that he “is highly confident” the Gibraltar-headquartered firm will now possess “an outstanding executive team” holding the skills and capabilities necessary to deliver on its “clear strategic plans and priorities”.
“In addition to having an in-depth understanding of the betting and gaming industry, Sean brings a wealth of relevant experience gained in Chief Financial Officer roles at international businesses where he has demonstrated a strong track record of value creation,” Mendelsohn said.

Mendelsohn moreover heaped praise on the outgoing Dafna for “his important contributions to the business in the last three years” including work in helping to finalize the “transformational combination” of 888 Holdings with William Hill and the subsequent “successful integration of the businesses”.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Yariv for also providing stability in the role of Chief Financial Officer over recent months while we searched for a permanent successor,” Mendelsohn said. “We wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

For his part and Wilkins pronounced that he has been a keen observer of 888 Holdings and believes the firm now possesses the “outstanding brands, technology and people” necessary to ensure “long-term success”.
