Nat Coombs' Week 14 Tips Including Bengals @ Cowboys

He also hosts his own NFL podcast The Nat Coombs Show and writes a column for The Times.

This week's treble pays out around 6/1 with Betway.

Nat Coombs' NFL Week 14 Predictions:

Browns @ Steelers Prediction: Which Winston Will Turn Up?

Cleveland have been another huge disappointment, and not many had two-time NFL coach of the year Kevin Stefanski in discussions for the hot seat in pre-season.

However, they are absurdly watchable despite being another team out of contention.

That's principally down to the wild antics of Jameis Winston. On my podcast (The Nat Coombs Show), we have an 'Erratic Quarterback' power rankings, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Winston is the reigning champ.

Another dizzying display of high-wire stylings resulting in two more pick-sixes in another heartbreaking loss against Denver on Monday Night Football further cemented the position.

Whilst Winston may be a whole lot more watchable than Deshawn Watson, he’s not the Browns' answer as a successor.

The Steelers defense could completely dismantle them, although with Winston's propensity to throw interceptions could mean points.

And remember, the Browns put up 32 against a tough Broncos defense and almost 500 total net yards. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had his best game as a pro, certainly as a Brown.

Conversely, Russell Wilson had his best game as a Steeler and I moved Pittsburgh into my top five, top-tier 'Super Contending' group on the pod this week.

I expect them to put up more points again on a Browns defense that’s allowing almost 350 yards a game and has given up 37 touchdowns.

Nat Coombs' Panel Tip 1: Browns @ Steelers: Over 42.5 Total Points - 4/5 With Betway

Raiders @ Buccaneers Tips: Bucs To Score Freely

The Buccaneers are now looking like a very tidy pick for the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons imploding.

Luckily, we called that on the podcast a few weeks back, when they were much longer odds on betting apps and it’s looking more and more promising.

Since then, wide receiver Mike Evans has returned from his earlier season injury to give a revitalised Baker Mayfield more to play with again.

Also, Tampa Bay's ground game has been explosive, averaging 5.1 yards per clip and they are ninth with 1,646 total rushing yards in the NFL.

The Raiders have the 28th-ranked scoring defense in the league, allowing 27.8 points per game and they come into this fresh from their painful busted flush against the Chiefs on Thanksgiving Friday.

Expect more joy for Mayfield and co and the NFC South campaign rolls on.

Bengals @ Cowboys: Points Fest On Monday Night Football

Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys have a lot in common.

Despite superstar laden line-ups, they have had two desperately disappointing seasons, which started with Super Bowl ambitions that have fast faded.

Each team is just about hanging onto the slimmest of hopes of running the table and somehow sneaking into the playoffs.

For Cincy, that’s an almost impossible task and for Dallas, another defeat and they’re pretty much done.

As a result, both head coaches Mike McCarthy (Cowboys) and Zac Taylor (Bengals) are on the hot seat.

The Bengals may just possess the best offense in NFL history to not make the playoffs.

They’re certainly one of the strongest in the league right now, with quarterback Joe Burrow leading the league in passing yards and passing TD’s.

In stark contrast, their defense, which was so good in their AFC Championship run a few years back, has been poor, ranking at the wrong end of the proceedings.

The Bengals are 27th in yards allowed and allowing an extraordinary 41 touchdowns and counting, unsurprisingly the joint worst in the NFL.

Dallas' defense hasn’t fared much better. It is ranked 26th in passing yards allowed and 39 touchdowns allowed, which means both Burrow and Cowboys starter Cooper Rush should be licking their chops at the possibility of points.

Rush, who has been composed if not remarkable since stepping in for the injured Dak Prescott, finally has an emerging ground game, with Rico Dowdle posting his best game of the season last week.

Extra rest days mean the Cowboys should keep up the pace in a shootout on Monday night.
