Next QPR Manager: Schumacher Favourite For R's Role
QPR have not had the start to the season they were hoping for under Marti Cifuentes.
They currently find themselves second-bottom of the Championship table with eight points from 11 games and three points adrift of safety.
The R’s stopped a run of four straight games courtesy of a home draw with fellow strugglers Coventry City and you have to go way back to August for their last victory.

Cifuentes performed a near miracle keeping QPR in the Championship last season but is now under pressure at Loftus Road as another relegation battle looms.
As a result, football betting sites are already looking at possible replacements should the Spaniard leave W12.
Here's a look at who might replace Cifuentes should Rangers decide to make a change.
Steven Schumacher Current Favourite
Steven Schumacher is still looking for his next challenge having been sacked by Stoke City in September.
The 40-year-old left Plymouth Argyle last December to replace Alex Neil at the Bet365 Stadium but was dismissed after just 32 games in charge with City 13th in the Championship.
"I don’t understand and I still haven’t had a full explanation on why I lost my job," Schumacher would later say.
He obviously feels he still has a point to prove and the chance to revive ailing QPR could be the perfect opportunity to do just that and is 6/4 with betting apps.

Championship Chance For Challinor?
Dave Challinor has overseen a meteoric rise since taking over at Edgeley Park in November 2021.
He guided the club to promotion from the National League in 2022 and then led his side to League One with automatic promotion in 2024 at just the second attempt.
The 47-year-old, who also took Hartlepool into the English Football League the season before taking up his current role, signed a new contract with the Hatters in the summer of 2023.
However, with County already mounting an assault on the second-tier play-off places, he’s already attracting the attention of clubs in the Championship.
With former QPR defender Clint Hill as his assistant, a move to Loftus Road could be a real possibility and he’s 7/4 to be the next Rangers boss.
Rowett In The Running
Gary Rowett’s first managerial role was at Burton as he took the Brewers to the upper echelons of League Two before being poached by Birmingham City in October 2014.
At Millwall Rowett guided the Championship club to top-half finishes in each of his fours years, but failed to make the play-offs and he finally left The Den after four years in 2023 by mutual consent.
The 50-year-old has also managed in the Championship with Derby County and Stoke City so will surely feel that he has the credentials to be given another chance in West London at odds of 7/2.
Bloomfield's Stock Rising
Chairboys legend, Matt Bloomfield (4/1), took over from Gareth Ainsworth in 2023 and guided Wanderers to 10th in the table in his first full season in charge,
This season they are currently third, having not lost in the league since August with a promotion push come the end of the campaign now a real possibility.
The Buckinghamshire club were last in the Championship in 2021 and if Bloomfield can guide his side back to the second-tier, Wycombe might have a fight on their hands to prevent him leaving for a second time.

Ruben Selles
The Reading manager has earned praise for his playing style and for guiding the Royals through a turbulent period owing to the club's ownership issues.
Despite major issues behind the scenes, he’s kept them competitive in League One but recently hinted at his frustration at the club claiming: "I’m not a person that likes to quit but I do need to reflect on where could be the ending point because I’m not happy with everything that’s happened."
Selles (6/1) took over at Southampton from Nathan Jones in February 2023, but was not retained after the Saints' relegation, so might feel he has what it takes to manage at a higher level.
Beale Back To Where It Began?
Michael Beale began his managerial career at QPR in 2022 after the club lured him from Steven Gerrard’s backroom team at Aston Villa and he made a swift impact at Loftus Road, leading the club to top spot in the Championship.
He would eventually leave his post to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Glasgow Rangers before a well-documented spell in charge at Sunderland.
The 44-year-old hasn't been seen much since his departure from the Stadium of Light, but his links with the R's make him an obvious candidate who can be backed at 15/2.
