NFL Week 14: The Panel's Picks For Thursday Night Football - Packers @ Lions

Our team of experts examines all the NFL Thursday Night Football action, focusing on odds and insights from NFL betting sites.

Week 14 begins with the game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.

NFL Week 14 Monday Night Football Predictions:

Packers Vs Lions Pick: Packers To Tame The Lions

The Detroit Lions won again last week, but that three-point win over the Chicago Bears was tight and costly.

Detroit's point differential is now +180, which is the highest in the NFL.

The Lions are still top of several main metrics, but this is not the same team that faced Green Bay in Week 9.

Could the Packers take advantage of the Lions' reduced SRS rating, which is based on points differential and strength of schedule?

With Josh Jacobs running the rock, the Packers are one of the few teams that can match Detroit's rushing power.

The Lions rushed for almost 200 yards against Chicago, but only 124 in that Week 9 contest against the Bears in the Windy City.

Neither team has a short-week issue (both played on Thanksgiving), but the Lions are limping into this contest.

An upset can be sprung here if Packers quarterback Jordan Love can avoid making mistakes.

The Panel are picking Green Bay on betting apps to hand Detroit their second loss of the season.

The Panel Pick 1: Packers To Beat The Lions (Moneyline) - 29/20 With Betway

Packers Vs Lions Prediction: Jacobs Can Run Lions Ragged

The Packers and Lions combined for a mere 38 points in the first matchup, with seven of those coming from a pick-six thrown by Jordan Love.

While a boost in scoring is expected, this second clash could see both teams run the ball more than they throw it.

Detroit’s version of Sonic (Jahmyr Gibbs) and Knuckles (David Montgomery) have combined for almost 1,700 yards and 22 total touchdowns (21 on the ground).

Green Bay averages 4.8 yards per carry but they do not run the ball as much. That could be a different story on Thursday.

Josh Jacobs had 13 carries for 95 yards in the first meeting and he had some big holes to run through.

With Detroit's defense still banged up, expect Jacobs to at least top 66 rushing yards.

The Panel Pick 2: Josh Jacobs Over 65.5 Yards - 20/23 With Betway

Packers Vs Lions Preview: Lions To Struggle Scoring

The Packers are on a three-game winning streak, including a strangely close encounter with Chicago.

The Bears snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and after that, Green Bay convincingly took care of San Francisco and Miami at home last week.

The Packers defense has deceptive speed and they rank ninth in scoring with 20 points per game allowed.

They also held a potent Lions team to 17 points in their previous meeting last month.

The Panel are expecting the Lions to struggle to score points, as the teams may keep things close, especially in the first half.

The Panel Pick 3: Detroit Lions Under 27.5 Points - 5/6 With Betway
