Rasmus Hojlund Next Club Odds: Arsenal Favourites To Buy Him
With the end of the 2022/23 season fast approaching, attention is beginning to turn to the summer transfer market - and betting sites are offering odds on the future of dozens of players.
Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen are among the high-profile players who could be on the move ahead of next term.
One name which might not be so familiar is that of Rasmus Hojlund, but the early signs suggest the Danish striker has a bright future ahead of him.
Currently plying his trade for Atalanta in Serie A, Hojlund has been linked with several clubs in the Premier League and beyond.
He has scored seven times in Italy’s top tier this term, while his first four senior caps for Denmark have yielded five goals.
Where might Hojlund be plying his trade at the beginning of next season? You can find the latest odds below, followed by our analysis of the situation.
Arsenal Leading Chase For Young Talent
According football betting sites, the likeliest outcome is that Hojlund will remain at Atalanta for at least one more season.
Odds as short as 1/5 are available on that outcome, which makes sense given he only joined the Italian side last summer and is under contract until 2027.
Even so, several reports suggest Arsenal are keen to bring him to north London in the coming months.
The Gunners have had an excellent season, but the priority in the upcoming window will be to add greater strength in depth.
At the age of 20, Hojlund would presumably not mind being a rotation option at the right club next term and more than likely why Arsenal are at odds of 5/1 with Unibet to acquire him.
Real Madrid Will Need New Striker Soon
The evergreen Karim Benzema seems to be getting better with age, but even the Frenchman himself knows that he cannot go on forever.
Real Madrid are no doubt beginning the process of finding a long-term successor to the 35-year-old, and Hojlund could be on their wish list.
The dream for Madrid is probably Erling Haaland, but he might not be available for at least another couple of years.
Bringing in a young striker like Hojlund would make sense, particularly if he could learn from Benzema before taking over as the go-to No.9.
Madrid are given a 6/1 chance of landing the up-and-coming Dane, which suggests they are at least considering a move for him.
Manchester United Also Targeting A Centre-Forward
It is no secret that Man United are in the market for a centre-forward. Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure left a gap to fill up front, even though the Portugal international was only ever a bit-part player under Erik ten Hag.
Wout Weghorst is not good enough to be United’s first-choice striker, while Marcus Rashford looks most at home on the left.
Almost eight years on from his arrival at Old Trafford, the jury is still out on Anthony Martial.
United will probably want someone who can hit the ground running, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen thought to be among their top targets. That makes it hard to see them plumping for Hojlund despite odds of 7/1.
Juventus And Napoli Other Italian Options
Juventus have made a habit of signing the best talent from elsewhere in Serie A.
But the gap between the Bianconeri and others has closed in recent years - they have not won the title since 2020 - and Juve are therefore finding it harder to entice players from the likes of Napoli, Inter, Roma and AC Milan.
They could have more success with Hojlund and Atalanta. Juventus are priced at 8/1 by Bet UK to sign him this summer, which is slightly shorter than Napoli at 9/1.
If the Serie A champions-elect lose the aforementioned Osimhen to Manchester United or another club, they will need a replacement up top and Hojlund could fit the bill.
AC Milan And Bayern Munich Among Outsiders
AC Milan’s centre-forward pool contains Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will turn 37 and 42 respectively this year.
Stefano Pioli will be looking to refresh his forward line in the summer, so it is perhaps a little surprising that the Rossoneri are priced at a relatively lengthy 11/1 with betting apps to bring Hojlund to the San Siro.
As for Bayern Munich (14/1), their need for a striker is clear for all in the football world to see.
This has been a tough first season of the post-Robert Lewandowski era, but Bayern are likely to conclude that Hojlund is not yet experienced enough to lead the line week in, week out for a club of their size.
