Watford Vs Bristol City, Tuesday, 19:45
With the petrol light flickering on empty and this column's profit and loss positive figure living on borrowed time at just 1.83, this would be an especially good midweek to blow away the cobwebs with a winning EFL double.
I was at Home Park in Plymouth on Friday night to see a cracker under the lights between Argyle and visiting Watford, a pair of mobile and attractive Championship sides now under the management of former Manchester United stars, in the shape of ex-teammates Wayne Rooney and Tom Cleverley respectively.
Rooney's Plymouth team make a long and difficult Tuesday night journey to take on Norwich in East Anglia, but on the very same coupon and back on home turf, it's Cleverley's Watford who interest me as they entertain Bristol City at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets play some really attractive stuff, much of which is orchestrated by their 25-year-old Georgian playmaker, Giorgi Chakvetadze.
He has the look of a player who could easily play in the top flight and may well do so, irrespective of whether his current employers are promoted this season. Indeed, locking in his value he signed a brand new five-year deal only two months ago.
Chakvetadze was instrumental in dictating play to help put his side ahead at Plymouth, only for the visitors to be denied by a late-late leveller from a former Watford man, Andre Gray, one of two beautifully taken strikes for him on the night.
Watford could and really should have put that game comfortably to bed and will surely have been kicking themselves not to depart with maximum points, which would have them in fifth place and within four points of the leaders.
Instead, this is seventh against tenth, at a time in the season when supporters of both teams have reason to be cheerful.
Liam Manning's Bristol City certainly aren't to be underestimated, especially when they've recently taken all three points in away fixtures against Norwich, Preston and best of all Middlesbrough (who are currently two places above Watford in the table).
However, you could forgive them for having one eye on Saturday's home game against South West rivals Plymouth and Watford are a different beast on home turf.
The Hornets have amassed an eye-watering 19 points from a possible 21 in home league games this season, the only blip being a 1-1 stalemate against Coventry back in September.
Otherwise, it's been plain sailing in front of their owns supporters, racking up victories at the expense of Stoke, Derby, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Oxford.
There is enough evidence to suggest they are a worthwhile wager at 29/20 on betting apps for another home win, especially when they'll be itching to make up for their Friday night frustrations.

Wycombe Wanderers Vs Mansfield Town, Tuesday, 19:45
Heading down a division, undeniably the story of the season so far at least in the upper echelons of League One has been the rise and rise of Wycombe Wanderers.
Strong, rangy, powerful and physical in both defence and midfield, twinned with a cluster of in-form forwards, Wycombe's play means Chairboys fans are currently on cloud nine as their side top the division by four points.
Saturday was a double whammy for them, as not only did they come through a severe test with a 3-2 away win against a very decent Lincoln, but they'll have been delighted with the demise of Birmingham, who unexpectedly lost away at struggling Shrewsbury.
Don't be at all surprised if they press on with yet another win when inconsistent Mansfield come calling at Adams Park.
Just like Watford, Wycombe have turned their own stadium into something of a fortress, accumulating 15 from an available 18 points.
Their overall goals for tally of 35 is the best in the division and they take on a Mansfield side who've failed to find the net in three of their last five in the league.
Granted, they have picked up 12 points on their travels, with nine of those coming against Northampton, Crawley and Wigan, all of whom reside in the lower reaches of League One.
Wycombe should be too strong and are a best price of 7/10 on football betting sites.
