Tom Lee's Panel Tips For This Weekend

Leeds United Vs Cardiff City, Saturday, 3pm

Speculation in the press about Cardiff City boss Erol Bulut's training methods has been a distraction the injury plagued Bluebirds could have done without this week.

The Welsh side are sitting rock-bottom in the Championship as they prepare to welcome ambitious Leeds United on Saturday, a day when volatile owner Vincent Tan is bound to be observing the home dugout closely.

For beleaguered Bulut, the bad news just keeps on coming as he tries to reverse what is already his club's worst start to a season for 35 years.

Hamstring trouble now means ultra-experienced Aaron Ramsey joins the likes of Callum Robinson, Kion Etete, Isaak Davies and Jesper Daaland on the sidelines.

A depressingly growing contingent at a time when teammates Jamilu Collins and David Turnbull are scrambling to be available for selection once again.

More specifically, the 49-year-old Turk's men have just one point and a solitary goal to show for their exertions thus far, the isolated bright spot being when Cardiff denied Swansea a derby victory on home soil on August bank holiday weekend.

For a side who last season finished in a respectable 12th it's been a sorry showing up until now and worryingly more trouble could be on the way.

Leeds have fond memories of visiting Cardiff recently, racking up a 3-0 win in the Welsh capital back in January.

That's not to say the Yorkshiremen haven't had to deal with a few injury gripes of their own this month, or indeed a few grumbles from their own impatient support.

Elland Road was left frustrated last time out as, despite 71% possession, their heroes couldn't break down stubborn Burnley in a 1-0 defeat.

This though will be an altogether different assignment, and Daniel Farke's squad looks deep enough to deal with a couple of absentees.

A return to the form that saw them easily see off both Hull and Sheffield Wednesday ought to be enough, and at a best price of 4/6 with betting sites, Leeds form leg one of this week's double.

Stockport County Vs Leyton Orient, Saturday, 3pm

Elsewhere, it's been 'so far, so good' for Stockport County, for whom a step up in grade has been absolutely zero hassle to date, having been promoted as Champions from League Two back in May.

Dave Challinor's Hatters have hit the League One ground running and then some, currently sitting in fifth following three wins and two draws from their opening five encounters.

Especially pleasing has been their home form, Edgeley Park proving a fortress with no goals conceded during routine victories against Cambridge United and Bristol Rovers.

Saturday visit of struggling Leyton Orient looks an ideal opportunity to extend that sequence, the O's having lost their opening four games before a surprise win away at Reading last time out.

This'll be far tougher, and Stockport can do a job for us at a top price of 4/6 with betting apps.
