17:25 Galway: The Panel Selection - Barry Lyndon

A tricky handicap hurdle at 5.25pm can throw up something of a shock with Barry Lyndon fancied to outrun double figure odds for Dermot McLoughlin and jockey JJ Slevin.

A shock winner at 40/1 on debut and has run with credit since without scoring again.

Ran at Punchestown last month and was sent off favourite for a similar heat and connections will be making the journey to Galway with expectation still that improvement can come with conditions to suit.

18:00 Galway: The Panel Selection - Minx Tiara

The class horse in the handicap hurdle at 6pm is Minx Tiara and after an excellent summer with two handicap wins and a brave effort in better company at the start of July the 9-year-old mare can make the best of her way home here and take another race for connections.

The amateur jockey will take off a handy 7lbs and will tactics likely to be a from the front ride that will help up the hill.

Enfranchise likely to go off favourite ran on Monday and is backing up quickly for Shark Hanlon and Danny Mullins.

19:10 Galway: The Panel Selection - In Excelsis Deo

One of the strongest and most open renewals of the Tote Galway Plate for a while and it can go the way of Harry Fry trained In Excelsis Deo

A mark of 142 is still below the ceiling for this 6-year-old who arguably would have won at Sandown in February but for a fall, then at Cheltenham when meeting trouble at a crucial stage, but made amends at the same track in April and comes here with pieces on for the first time to sharpen him up.

Perceval Legallois is short for what’s in the book but seems to have very solid market support in the run up to this and must be feared. Saint Roi could be best of the longer priced horses but there is a real depth to the field and set for a great race.

Suggested Staking Plan

The Panel suggest the following stakes for today's three selections.
