We kick off our college basketball predictions today with UMBC’s expected win at Morgan State.

The Morgan State Bears head into this game with a terrible record of 2-8 and are now seventh in the Mid-Eastern Conference. 

Worse yet, it is now on a seven-game losing run since its 78-60 win against Wilkes-Barre, losing to Fresno State, BYU, Radford, Chicago State, Towson, High Point and Longwood only last weekend.

During these defeats, the Bears have lost by a 1-5 points margin against Chicago, but also lost by nine against Towson and 10 against Towson. 

Although they have lost by 1-5 on only one occasion, the UMBC Retrievers are not exactly in the best form with a 5-5 record so far. It has, however, secured wins over Lehigh and Hampton within the past two weeks by beating them with a 1-5 points victory, and it also did the same against Sacred Heart in mid-November.

Morgan State is set to struggle in this one, just as it has done all season long.

Moving from a narrow win to a game that could leave one opposition with a red face, as La Selle is expected to steamroll Loyola. 

The La Salle Explorers are now fourth in the Atlantic 10 after beating Penn 93-92 in a thrilling match, and this now means it has scored at least 79 points in five of its eight games this season to put it on a 6-2 record.

As for the Loyola Greyhounds, things are very different. It has so far won just one game by beating Brown 77-75, and teams like UMBC and Florida have beaten it this year by racking up over 90 points.

Our free college basketball predictions for this one points in one direction: a convincing win for La Selle. It is simply too good for the Greyhounds, and Loyola should not be expected to rack up that many points after a 1-7 record this season so far.

For our final selection in our college basketball picks today, we look at the unders in the game between Stonehill and Stony Brook. 

Heading into this game at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena, neither one of the Seawolves or the Skyhawks can be pleased about their seasons so far. 

It is, however, Stony Brook who has one more win on the board and three fewer defeats too, while Stonehill - for the third game running last time out - achieved under 74.5 points in a game. 

In fact, only in a loss to TAMUC has Stonehill managed to achieve more than 74.5 points in a match so far, and it has scored tallies as low as 44 against GW, 57 against Army West Point and 56 against Saint Joseph's.

As for Stony Brook, its position of 14th in the Colonial Athletic Conference has seen it also achieve over 74.5 points in only one game, as it defeated SJLI with a tally of 91. In its last game, it also lost 60-59 to Wagner, and it looks as if all signs point towards another low-scoring battle between these two struggling teams.
