New Jersey Online Casinos Rack Up $198.4 Million In Revenue, Setting New Record
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported that online casinos in the state generated $198.4 million in revenue in August, a new state record.
The previous record was $197.2 million in March. In July, there was $195.4 million.
Over the last seven months, there were four months where New Jersey online casinos drew in $190 million or more.
The revenue has increased over the past two months and online casinos are edging closer and closer to $200 million in a single month.
If online casinos in New Jersey hit $200 million, they’d be the third state, along with Pennsylvania and Michigan, to accomplish that feat.
Here’s how online casinos in New Jersey have finished since January:
- January: $183.3 million
- February: $182.3 million
- March: $197.2 million
- April: $187.9 million
- May: $192.1 million
- June: $186.8 million
- July: $195.4 million
- August: $198.4 million
Not only was this a 1.5% increase from July, but it was a 27.8% increase compared to August 2023.
Atop the list was DraftKings ($43.2 million), followed by FanDuel ($41.3 million), BetMGM ($22.16 million), and Borgata ($20.3 million).
In all, 28 online casinos posted revenues, including Jackpot City, Betway, and Wheel of Fortune, all finishing with $778,163 or less in revenue.
One notable online casino, Fanatics, which launched in May, has quickly seen rises in revenue. In May, it finished with $963,543, and in August, it had about $2.6 million.
