The Florida Panthers and Vegas Golden Knights showed us a good time from Miami on Thursday night. Game 3 did not look like it would go Florida’s way. However, the Panthers showed everyone something late. Sports betting fans suspected Vegas could come out on top, but Matthew Tkachuk had other plans.

Unlike Games 1 and 2, this was a defensive struggle. Yet, late in the third period, Matthew Tkachuk tied the game on a goalmouth scramble. After Florida won the game in overtime, Vegas wondered what might have been.

With that, Vegas still has a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday night from Miami. It will be broadcast on TNT/TBS in the United States and Sportsnet in Canada.

NHL betting sites have Florida as a very slight favorite for Game 4. Let’s see what wagers we can come up with for Saturday night.

Why You Should Bet on Vegas in Stanley Cup Final Game 4

The Vegas Golden Knights played a solid road game, did many of the little things right, and again controlled special teams. Vegas scored twice on the power play behind Jonathan Marchessault (goal and assist). They held Florida well under 30 shots and controlled the pace of the contest.

This time, Vegas did not perform so well at even strength. Florida controlled the first period before Vegas exerted its will in the second. Ivan Barbashev hit the post during the third period, which would have iced Game 3. It was the turning point of the game that no one knew yet.

Vegas has kept Florida off the scoreboard on special teams (6-0 margin, 1 SHG allowed). The Golden Knights will win this series if that continues.

Why You Should Bet on Florida in Stanley Cup Final Game 4

The Florida Panthers were pinned in their zone early and often in the second period on Thursday night. Sergei Bobrovsky kept them in the game, making save after save. Yes, the Tkachuk goal forced overtime. Bobrovsky was why Florida is only down 2-1 right now.

Florida must get traffic in front of Adin Hill — especially on the man advantage. The Panthers’ power play has gone ice-cold (0 for the Stanley Cup Final). Furthermore, one has to wonder about some players being banged up. That being said, Florida finds ways to win. The Thursday night triumph was their seventh in overtime this postseason.

Stanley Cup Final Game 4 Pick

Our best pick for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final still sides with the Vegas Golden Knights. Taking the moneyline at +105 is likable. The games were expected to be close in Florida anyway.

Florida still has issues getting to the middle of the ice, and Vegas missed a few opportunities it usually would not. The Panthers scored against the flow of play in overtime as Vegas dominated the first few shifts. Expect another tight one on Saturday night.

Other Wagers To Consider Along The Way

Betting on the Stanley Cup Finals had an excellent time with some of the player and game props on Thursday night. Jonathan Marchessault struck for two power-play points and a goal which paid out handsomely at +235. The anytime goal was plus-money, and the Over 1.5 points were nearly +200.

Why alter the plan if it is not broken with Marchessault and Matthew Tkachuk? The only concern with Tkachuk may be his shoulder. During practice and warm-ups between now and Saturday night, keep an eye on that. Also, remember to take the Under (6.0 goals at -120).

Finally, series numbers still lean on Vegas at -260. Florida has come back to +210. In five or six games, Vegas rolls in at +260 and +290, respectively. When the numbers came out, Vegas in five was at +350, and six was at +400. Always watch shifts in series numbers.

We will have more picks on social media. Good luck!
