The Voice 2023 is Down to a Final Five, Who Will Win it?

The Voice coach Blake Shelton has a great chance of bowing out of the competition on a high after both of his remaining acts progressed to the show's double-episode finale.

Shelton is departing the show following the current series, after being a coach for all 23 seasons so far, and he now has the top two favorites in the betting after NOIVAS and Grace West advanced in Monday's semifinal.

Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper each have one contestant going into the two-parter finale on Monday May 22 and Tuesday May 23.

While Shelton is departing the series, it was revealed during the semifinal that country music legend Reba McEntire - who was a Mega Mentor earlier in the season - will appear on The Voice season 24 as a coach.

She will sit alongside Horan, and returning coaches John Legend - who worked on the show between seasons 16 and 22 - and Gwen Stefani, who was a The Voice coach on and off between seasons seven and 22.

It is also all change in the current series, as there is a new favorite at the top of the market following the semifinal, during which Ryley Tate Wilson, Ray Uriel and Holly Brand were dumped out of the contest after the viewer vote.

In a show first, the five finalists were announced live during the semifinal.

That leaves Shelton's West and NOIVAS, as well as Horan's Gina Miles, Chance's Sorelle, and Clarkon's D. Smooth to battle it out in next week's finale.

With these hypothetical odds provided by industry sports betting experts, we've looked into which remaining five The Voice contestants have what it takes to be the show's season 23 winner.

Contestant Odds Implied Probability
Grace West +200 33.3%
NOIVAS +250 28.6%
Gina Miles +350 22.2%
Sorelle +500 16.7%
D. Smooth +700 12.5%

West New Favorite To Win The Voice

Just days ahead of the finale doubleheader, West is now the +200 favorite to win the show.

Her price has dropped from +350 after she wowed viewers and judges with her pulsating performance of Tammy Wynette's "Till I Can Make It On My Own."

Shelton was impressed to see his act pull off such a "mountain of a song," pointing out the tune hadn't ever been performed on the show — but insisting there was a good reason for that.

He told her: "There's a reason no one's ever done that song on the show, you can't do it and you just did it. I will be stunned if you don't make it into the final.

"It doesn’t get any better than that."

Rival coach Horan was also impressed with West, saying she "needs to be in the final," and he called her "one of my favorite voices on this show, without a doubt." Some praise.

NOIVAS Drops To 2nd Favorite

NOIVAS became the second of Shelton's acts into the final, and he is now +250 to win the contest, from +150 last week.

His emotional performance of Adele's "Skyfall" no doubt had viewers blubbing away at home, and he dedicated the song to his wife and baby after the pair nearly died during childbirth.

Afterward, Shelton told him: "Whatever he feels in that moment happens in that moment. I don't care if it's on TV or if we are rehearsing what's going on, but it's always incredible. That's why everybody loves you."

The tune took a lot out of NOIVAS as he lay flat on the stage following his performance, and the hopeful was visibly emotional when he did reappear.

The Voice host Carson Daly pointed out it was "the first standing ovation of the night," despite the wannabe being the fourth contestant to perform at the time.

Miles' The Voice Price Cut

Miles is within touching distance of The Voice season 23 victory after advancing to the finale following her rendition of "All I Want" by Kodaline.

The hopeful's coach Horan was particularly bullish about the +350 star's performance.

He praised her for "strolling around that stage tonight like you own the place" and teased viewers the pair had "something incredible" lined up for the final before they had even found out if they had made it.

Chance described Miles' performance as "breath-taking," and his act, Sorelle, was next up, and they also followed Miles in the betting at +500.

The sister trio's rendition of Alicia Keys' "Fallin'" was described as "incredible" by Clarkson, while Chance was "blown away" by his group.

He told the pop wannabes: "You guys are just always ready to deliver."

Despite this, Sorelle has dropped to +500 fourth favorite to win The Voice, from just +200 last week.

Smooth Sails Into The Voice Finale

Smooth hasn't exactly had a smooth path to the final so far, but he sailed into the latter stages this week.

The wannabe's Voice journey was nearly all over when he lost out to ALI in the Battles stage of the competition back in episode nine, but he was given a "playoff pass" from his coach Clarkson.

That meant Smooth, as one of four lucky losers, was picked to advance to the playoffs.

Smooth is now the +700 outsider to win season 23 of The Voice, but he may well overcome his odds if his sublime semifinal was anything to go by.

Smooth put in a stunning performance of Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud," and he was given a standing ovation by the coaches.

Shelton was particularly blown away, almost pleading with the audience to ensure Smooth makes the finale.

He said: "I don't know how you don't vote that guy on to the finale. What dimension does that not happen? That was just an incredible showcase and vocal ability."

While Shelton's wishes came true, he will no doubt be hoping Smooth doesn't beat one of his acts to The Voice crown in next week's finale, given it is his final chance to land the title.
