Who Will Win 'Dancing With The Stars'? Xochitl Gomez Enhances Reputation On Taylor Swift Night
The "Dancing With The Stars" competition ramped up another notch on Tuesday night, as one more celebrity bowed out in style on "A Celebration of Taylor Swift" night.
With less than two weeks until the finale, there will be no love story for Harry Jowsey on the show after he was eliminated, leaving just five contestants remaining.
Standalone Favorite Gomez
Choreographer Many Moore, who worked on Swift's Eras Tour, served as a "Dancing With The Stars" guest judge on Tuesday night, alongside regular panelists Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli, meaning the scores were once again out of 40 points.
Moore was a huge fan of Xochitl Gomez's quickstep, praising her routine as "poetry in motion.”
The actor received 38 points, plus an additional three points for defeating Ariana Madix in the dance relay.
After yet another strong performance, Gomez is now the +100 favorite to win the 32nd season of the competition and is just ahead of +200 chance Madix, who scored 37 points for her rumba.
Lawson Impresses Again
Like last week, Charity Lawson impressed the panelists once again, and she is now very much in contention to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Lawson has gone from +500 to +300 to triumph after a 38-point Argentine tango, but she lost out to Jason Mraz in the dance relay.
Singer Mraz, a former favorite to win the competition, has also seen his price decrease this week after a leaderboard-topping perfect performance.
Mraz scored a maximum 40 points for his Argentine tango, after which Tonioli declared he is "back" in the contest, and Moore described his dance as "grounded and epic,” and the star won an extra three points from Lawson.
He is now at +500 to win the show, from +800 last week when he landed in the bottom three.
Hannigan's Semi-Final Danger
Alyson Hannigan was at risk of going home this week, after scoring 29 points, one less than eliminated Jowsey.
But she managed to defeat the axed star in the dance relay, meaning she picked up another three points.
Despite this, the actor has drifted to +1000 to win the competition, from +800 last week, and she looks to be in danger of going home in next week's semifinals, where the five stars will compete for a place in the Dec. 5 finale.
Jowsey won't be one of them after he went out in style on Tuesday night, after Hough praised him as looking "comfortable and confident" during his rumba, and Inaba commended the YouTuber's routine for having more content than his previous dances. But it wasn't enough to keep him in the competition.
Who Will Win Dancing With The Stars?
- Xochitl Gomez +100
- Ariana Madix +200
- Charity Lawson +300
- Jason Mraz +500
- Alyson Hannigan +1000
