On June 29, the Aces routed the Liberty 98-81 in a game that was over before the fourth quarter started. But New York returned the favor on Aug. 6 with a 99-61 win to give the Aces their biggest loss of the season.
We've yet to see a close game between these teams with each winning big on their home floors. Las Vegas will have the advantage of playing at home on Tuesday, but we are anticipating a closer game and like the Liberty +7.5 (-110) at FanDuel.
One big difference between the two games was Candace Parker. The two-time MVP and WNBA champion suited up for the Aces in the first game but missed the second and has been out indefinitely due to a foot injury. It's clear the Aces suffer from not having her in the lineup, and the Liberty were able to take advantage. Las Vegas is also monitoring the status of Alysha Clark, who missed Sunday's win over the Atlanta Dream with a back ailment. Parker missing this matchup and Clark's status in question is part of the reason we like the Liberty.
New York was also able to limit the Aces' dominant offense by holding them to 23 of 70 shooting and just 6 of 23 from 3-point range. It was the first time a team was able to hold the Aces to this kind of performance all season. We don't expect as strong of a showing on that end of the floor, but it at least validates that New York has the personnel to limit the Aces, which makes us like backing the Liberty at +7.5.

Look for Becky Hammon and the Aces to make adjustments and get Wilson more touches as she's cutting to the hole, which should allow her more scoring opportunities against New York.
With Las Vegas continuing to figure out how to play without Parker, they've gone to Wilson more lately. Over her last three games, she's had 18, 25 and 22 shot attempts since the Liberty contest. Look for her to be aggressive offensively and erase the bad performance she had against New York.
