Looking at the odds, Haaland appears nailed on to top the charts again this season whether he breaches a new record or not. 

As we enter the second half of the season, bookies have him at 2/9 to be the top scorer in the Premier League, while Mohamed Salah is second-favourite at 8/1, but few would back the Egyptian to convert as many chances as Haaland over the season.

Haaland was announced as the 2022/23 PFA Player of the Year recently, and as expected the Norwegian received the accolade ahead of teammates John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne, ex-Tottenham forward Harry Kane and the Arsenal duo of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.
