Dani Olmo Next Club Odds: Man City Favourites To Land Spaniard
Dani Olmo was one of the stars of Euro 2024 and the UK betting sites have opened a market on his future club.
Olmo only started three matches in Germany, but he was still one of Spain’s most integral players as they were crowned European champions for a record fourth time.
No one at the tournament bettered Olmo’s return of three goals, while only teenage team-mate Lamine Yamal provided more assists.
Olmo currently plies his trade for RB Leipzig in Germany, but he could be on the move before the start of next season.
The attacking midfielder is said to have a £50.5m release clause in his contract, although it is only active until Saturday. That means Olmo’s suitors face a race against time to get the deal done.
“You know what you have to do,” Olmo said to potential buyers when asked about the clause. “If it's later, you'll have to fight a little.”

Manchester City The Favourites To Land Olmo
Manchester City appear to be in pole position to sign Olmo from RB Leipzig.
Pep Guardiola's side became the first club to win four successive titles in England's top flight, but he knows he can't afford to stand still.
His squad doesn't need much tweaking, but the addition of Olmo would make them stronger and even harder to beat.
It is not hard to imagine Olmo in a team managed by Guardiola, especially as the Leipzig man can play in a variety of attacking roles.
Olmo Could Slot Right In At Liverpool
All eyes are on Liverpool this summer as they begin life without Jurgen Klopp. Arne Slot has replaced the popular German, and signing Olmo would certainly help Liverpool close the gap on City.
Liverpool (5/4) finished nine points behind City in last season's title race and they will be keen to reinforce their squad in the coming weeks.
Michael Edwards is back as chief executive and Richard Hughes has been appointed as sporting director, and they will be working closely with Slot to strengthen the squad.
Reports suggest the club are seriously considering triggering Olmo’s release clause.
Arsenal And Barcelona Weighing Up Options
Like Manchester City and Liverpool, Arsenal will be targeting Premier League title glory in 2024/25.
After narrowly missing out on the prize in both of the last two seasons, the Gunners (2/1) are looking to bulk up their squad in the current transfer window as they attempt to top the table for the first time since 2004.
A central midfielder is said to be on Arsenal’s wish list, and although Olmo tends to play further forward he would certainly add more quality to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Barcelona are next on the list at 3/1 on football betting sites. Olmo has never played professionally for a Spanish side, having left his home country for Dinamo Zagreb in 2014.
He previously spent seven years on Barcelona’s books, though, and may be attracted to the idea of returning to his native Catalonia.
Aston Villa And Chelsea Could Be Dark Horses
Aston Villa are having another eye-catching summer, signing the likes of Ian Maatsen, Ross Barkley and, if the rumour mill is to be believed, Amadou Onana.
Unai Emery would no doubt love to add fellow Spaniard Olmo to his list of players, but the 26-year-old may be out of reach right now, despite Villa’s impending participation in the new-look Champions League. The Villans are given a 9/2 chance of winning this race.
Chelsea are alternative dark horses at 5/1 on new betting sites. The indications are that Todd Boehly is willing to sanction another big-spending summer, but the Blues are not currently near the front of the queue for Olmo.
Manchester United Among The Outsiders For Olmo
Manchester United have stuck with Erik ten Hag, but the Dutchman is unlikely to have as big a say in recruitment going forward.
Having said that, there are no indications that United are weighing up a move for Olmo. Priced at 6/1, their absence from the Champions League could be an issue.
Bayern Munich regularly snap up the best of the rest from the Bundesliga, but Olmo is more likely to move to the Premier League or La Liga from here. Bayern are an 8/1 shot.
Finally, Paris Saint-Germain are available at 12/1. Luis Enrique will be keen to bolster his attack this summer to replace Kylian Mbappe, yet the French giants are not in the mix for Olmo.
