Jacob Greaves Next Club Odds: Everton Favourites To Sign Tigers Defender
The transfer market is in full flow and the best betting sites have opened a market on where Jacob Greaves will be playing his football next season.
The centre-back thrived as Hull City narrowly missed out on the Championship play-offs last term.
Greaves played 43 matches for the Tigers in 2023/24 and new manager Tim Walter will no doubt prefer to keep hold of him for another campaign.
However, it will be difficult for Hull to resist any significant offers for the defender. Greaves is under contract until 2026 and the club has the option to extend that by a year.
But if Premier League clubs begin sniffing around, Hull may have to turn their attention to getting the best deal they can.
Everton And Burnley Lead Race For Hull Star Greaves
Everton ultimately survived in the Premier League pretty comfortably despite suffering two separate points deductions for breaching the division’s profit and sustainability rules.
But the Toffees are not out of the woods yet, with uncertainty over who will be their new owners. As such, it is difficult for Everton to spend much money right now.
Even so, they are the 6/4 favourites on football betting sites to land Greaves. If Jarrad Branthwaite is sold, that could open up an opportunity for Everton to sign him.
Burnley, Sean Dyche’s former club, are also in the mix. Odds of 2/1 are available on the Clarets signing Greaves, but Hull would no doubt prefer to sell him to a Premier League club.
Moreover, if there is interest from the top flight, it would be difficult for Burnley to persuade Greaves to head to Turf Moor.

West Ham Could Make A Move
West Ham United are under new management after Julen Lopetegui replaced David Moyes in the dugout at the London Stadium.
Lopetegui will have his own ideas about which areas of the squad need strengthening, but the sporting director Tim Stiedten is in charge of recruitment at the Hammers.
Greaves is said to be on their radar as West Ham look to bring in a younger central defender. The Hull man is available at 9/4 to end up in a claret and blue shirt.
Eagles Could Be Interested In Greaves
Crystal Palace have had great success in signing players from the Championship in recent years.
Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton have all excelled after joining the Eagles following spells in the second tier.
Oliver Glasner’s side, who secured a top-half finish after taking 19 points from a possible 21, are 3/1 to win the battle for Greaves’ signature.
Forest And Leicester May Look To Greaves
Leicester City are back in the Premier League but they are now on the lookout for a new manager.
Enzo Maresca decided to depart the King Power Stadium after a single season, with Chelsea snapping up Pep Guardiola’s former assistant at Manchester City.
For now Leicester are preoccupied with finding a successor to Maresca, but they will also be planning transfers as they look to build a squad capable of staying in the Premier League.
Greaves could be one player they have on their wish list, although they are dark horses at 6/1.
Available at a slightly shorter price are Nottingham Forest, whom the betting apps consider a 4/1 shot in this market.
Nuno Espirito Santo needs to tighten up a backline that was not exactly watertight when Forest battled against demotion to the Championship last term.
Leeds And Sheffield United Among The Outsiders
Leeds United suffered a painful defeat by Southampton in the Championship play-off final last month, condemning them to another year in the second division.
The Whites will be desperate to get back to the Premier League as quickly as possible, and we can expect them to be active in the transfer market in the next couple of months.
Like Burnley, though, they may struggle to entice a player like Greaves if he also has offers from the top tier. The 23-year-old is listed at 8/1 to move to Elland Road.
Sheffield United are an even longer shot at 12/1. They never looked like staying in the Premier League last season and it will be difficult for the Blades to secure an instant return.
Given the reported interest from elsewhere, It is hard to see Greaves ending up at Bramall Lane.
