Premier League BTTS Predictions: The Panel's 3 Tips For Saturday’s Games

We have another weekend of Premier League football to look forward to on Saturday and Sunday, with 18 teams in action before Bournemouth host Southampton on Monday night.

We have focused on three of the games taking place in gameweek six in our ‘both teams to score’ treble, which comes in at around 9/4 with betting sites . Let’s take a closer look at those matches at St James’ Park, Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford.

Newcastle United Vs Manchester City Odds: Magpies A Different Beast At St James’ Park

Manchester City will continue their Premier League title defence against Newcastle in the early kick-off on Saturday. After rescuing a point against Arsenal in that blockbuster clash last weekend, City were rocked by the news that Rodri is set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

It goes without saying that City are a better team with the Spain international in it, but they have coped with injuries to key players in the past and no one should write them off. Their attacking output will not be harmed too much by the absence of Rodri, with Erling Haaland in magnificent form and Phil Foden likely to come into a Premier League XI for the first time this term.

Newcastle were well beaten by Fulham last time out and things are not quite clicking in attack for Eddie Howe’s team. Alexander Isak has yet to find form this term, while the inclusion of Harvey Barnes on the left has meant moving Anthony Gordon to a less effective position on the right.

Even so, the Magpies are a different beast at St James’ Park. They have scored in 21 consecutive home games in the league stretching back to May 2023. With the imperious Rodri sidelined, we like Newcastle's chances of breaching City’s backline.

Chelsea Vs Brighton Prediction: Blues Look To Take The Initiative

Chelsea have responded well to their opening-day defeat by Manchester City, taking 10 points from the 12 on offer since then. Enzo Maresca has quietened some of the noise around the club after another chaotic summer, and although there is still room for improvement as far as performances are concerned, a degree of optimism has crept back in at Stamford Bridge.

This will be a tricky game, however. Brighton have also made a bright start to the campaign. They were not at their best in a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest last weekend, but Fabian Hurzeler’s side are unbeaten after five matches. Their last three outings have ended with the score level, though, so Brighton will be looking to return to winning ways in this one.

Ipswich successfully shut the Seagulls out earlier this month, but that was in large part because they set out for a clean sheet at the Amex Stadium. Conversely, Chelsea will look to take the initiative here and that could leave them vulnerable on the turnover.

Brighton are equally unlikely to keep Chelsea out. Nicolas Jackson looks to have found form after an inconsistent maiden campaign in English football, while Maresca has so many options in support. Cole Palmer will definitely start, but there are plenty of other options in Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke and Christopher Nkunku, who notched a hat-trick in the midweek victory over Barrow in the EFL Cup.

Man Utd Vs Tottenham Betting: Top Four The Target

Manchester United and Tottenham are both targeting a top-four finish this season. With Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool the favourites with football betting sites for positions one, two and three, there is plenty of competition for that final guaranteed Champions League qualification berth. As well as this duo, Chelsea, Newcastle and Aston Villa are striving to be in the mix.

United and Spurs have plenty of qualities, but both teams are flawed. The Red Devils are struggling to convert chances this season, while the jury is still out on their ability to stop teams playing through their midfield so easily. As for Tottenham, they are neat and tidy in possession but can be outfoxed in both boxes.

Spurs dominated much of their meeting with Newcastle earlier this month, only to suffer a 2-1 defeat because they gave up too many big opportunities.

That could be a problem at Old Trafford too. United are fashioning chances - only Manchester City and Liverpool are higher up the xG table - so their attack is bound to come good at some point.

The centre-back partnership of Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez is promising, but Spurs have enough about them to find the back of the net on Sunday afternoon.
