US Open Tennis Tips: Close Encounter For Sinner
In the biggest quarter-final clash, tournament favourite Jannik Sinner faces 2021 US Open winner Daniil Medvedev.
The pair will meet for a second successive grand slam, with Sinner hoping to exact revenge after Medvedev knocked him out at the same stage of Wimbledon.
That match went the distance just like their Australian Open final encounter in January when Sinner fought back from two sets down against the Russian to win his first major title.

In between, Sinner thrashed Medvedev 6-1 6-2 in Miami, but The Panel are expecting another close contest just like the previous two grand slam clashes.

All eyes will be on women’s number one Iga Swiatek when she takes on in-form Jessica Pegula in New York on Wednesday.
Pegula has not dropped a single set during the tournament and, with the home crowd firmly behind her, she will want to build on what has been a strong tournament for American stars.
Swiatek is a significant step up from everyone else she has faced at Flushing Meadows and is the clear 1/3 favourite with new betting sites to reach the semi-finals.

Unseeded Karolina Muchova has been one of the best players in the US Open this year, cruising into the quarter-finals without dropping a set.
Her opponent on Wednesday, Beatriz Haddad Maia, is also in fine form and has proved to be a tough player who can dig deep at various stages in her first four matches.
The Brazilian's round of 16 match with Caroline Wozniacki saw her win 6-2 3-6 6-3, while she also battled back after losing her first set in her opener against Elina Avanesyan.
Muchova, bidding to reach the US Open semi-finals for the second year in a row, is in dominant form, though, and holds a 3-0 head over Haddad Maia in previous encounters.
