Wimbledon Betting: Women's Singles 2023 Winner Odds & Predictions
Elena Rybakina has been given initial odds of 12/1 to defend her Wimbledon crown in 2023 as betting sites open the book on next year’s grass court Grand Slam.
The 23-year-old came from a set down to beat favourite Ons Jabeur 3-6 6-2 6-2 in the 2022 women’s singles final, becoming the first representative of Kazakhstan to win a tennis major.
But having already opened the book on 2023 Wimbledon betting, Bet365 only make Moscow-born Rybakina fourth-favourite.
Iga Swiatek is the favourite, followed by beaten 2022 finalist Jabeur, while Naomi Osaka is third in the pecking order. That leaves Rybakina joint-fourth along with 2019 champion Simona Halep.
Meanwhile, Bet365 have given 2021 US Open Champion Emma Raducanu odds of 20/1 to win Wimbledon 2023, with the home favourite having endured a disappointing campaign this year.
The 19-year-old crashed out of Wimbledon 2022 in the second round following a 6-3 6-3 defeat to Caroline Garcia, but will no doubt return next year with Centre Court fully behind her.
It wasn’t all doom and gloom for Raducanu during the grass court season as, despite the early defeat at Wimbledon, she still edged into the top 10 in the WTA rankings for the first time.
Heather Watson (100/1) and Katie Boulter (100/1) are the next Brits to feature in the early betting, although both have three-figure odds in what is a fair reflection of their 2023 Wimbledon hopes.
On first glance at the 2023 Wimbledon odds on tennis betting sites, it would appear Britain’s 44-year wait for a female winner of the Grand Slam is unlikely to end next year.
Elsewhere, Serena Williams may or may not continue her quest for an eighth Wimbledon title in 2023, but despite the doubt UK bookmakers have put a 28/1 price on her winning it next year.
