Barstool Casino Out, Hollywood Casino In As of November 14
ESPN Bet has overtaken Barstool Sportsbook as the betting platform for PENN Entertainment, and a notable change has occurred in New Jersey.
On November 14, PENN Entertainment introduced Hollywood Casino to New Jersey players, overtaking Barstool Casino. The NJ online casino landscape is becoming eventful as brands keep changing over the years.
Hollywood Casino is Accessible Through the ESPN Bet App
According to a spokesperson from PENN, Hollywood Casino “will be accessible within ESPN Bet via mobile and web.”
“If you’re in the state of Pennsylvania, for example, and you’re within ESPN Bet betting on sports, you’ll be able to wager by clicking on the Casino icon,” Jay Snowden, CEO of PENN, said during a company earnings call over the summer, “and go to Hollywood Casino seamlessly within the same app and platform the way that you can today between Barstool Sportsbook and Barstool iCasino.”
Hollywood Casino is Available in NJ, MI, PA and WV
From here, Hollywood Casino will exist not only in New Jersey but also in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Most of the time, the same NJ online slots will be available in other states.
However, Hollywood Casino in PA will discontinue on December 14, and a new Hollywood Casino product will launch in The Keystone State.
As for those holding a Barstool Casino account in New Jersey, PENN Entertainment said that accounts “will remain unchanged and be made available on Hollywood Casino, including account balances, transaction history, responsible gaming limits, stored payment methods, and any open wagers.”
So, new players will shop at a new online casino, with the only thing changing being the branding.
Barstool is out, Hollywood is in.
