Caesars Wins Corporate Responsibility Award Following 2023 Policy Changes
Caesars is one of the more well-known NJ online casino brands. At the National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling, the National Council on Problem Gambling recently awarded Caesars the Corporate Responsibility Award.
This award reflects their efforts in 2023 and encompasses those within the sphere of problem gambling/responsible gambling.
The award comes from Caesars’ Universal Exclusion and the new 21+ gambling policies it introduced in 2023.
Other tools, which are accessible to all players and are completely optional, include self-exclusion, deposit/play limits, and a cool-off period.
With the Universal Exclusion launched in March 2023, this program now puts the player on a statewide exclusion list and prevents them from gambling online or at the retail location.
Additionally, the 21+ policy prevents players from using Caesars Rewards, and players under 21 cannot wager at Caesars Sportsbook, Facebook, and all online casino platforms.
“As the largest gaming company in North America, it’s our special obligation to ensure that we operate on standards driven by Responsible Gaming,” said Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment. “To be recognized for our work by the National Council on Problem Gambling and its members is a testament to the work and dedication of our Team Members and our belief that together, we can create a space where our guests can play safely and responsibly.”
Beyond the tools, Universal Exclusion, and the new gaming policy, Caesars Palace Online Casino provides awareness and education training for problem gambling to all team members, north of 1,800.
Additionally, Caesars has a seven-member council responsible for overseeing charitable contributions to responsible gambling.
The NCPG hosts numerous yearly events in addition to this conference, such as Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March and the Gift Responsibly Campaign throughout November and December.
