Live Poker Set to Return to PA's Penn National Racecourse

Hollywood Casino has just announced that the Live Poker room at Pennsylvania’s Penn National Racecourse is set to reopen by the second quarter of 2024, marking a return of one of the best poker room facilities across PA.

The news comes soon after the announcement of Penn’s PA Hollywood Casino rebrand. Poker players state-wide have greeted the news with excitement as the operator is in process of finalising the necessary permits with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).

Poker Room To Be Located Right by Casino Restaurant

The newly reopened poker room at Penn National Racecourse PA looks set to bring a better and improved version of the previous iteration, situated right next to the casino bar and restaurant area for the convenience of poker lovers.

The Live Poker room had been closed when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and was never reopened afterwards, much to the disappointment of players across the Keystone State. The decision to reopen after months of radio silence was in fact made possible thanks to the vocal enthusiasm of Penn National Racecourse regular players, with Tony Frabbiele, the VP and GM of the Hollywood Casino acknowledging in a press conference that “lots of people wanted it, and we’re working to bring it back”,

Live Poker Personnel Currently Undergoing Training

The live poker room will be a welcome addition to the current poker set up at Penn PA, which right now only offers RNG (ETG) poker. The move will also lead to a significant increase in the team of employees, with the casino currently hiring and training a new team of live poker professional dealers.
