Online Casino Game Evolution Operating Out of Connecticut
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont announced Monday that Evolution, a live dealer online casinos game operator, is operating in the state with a newly-built studio in Fairfield.
Evolution Bringing Jobs to Connecticut
Evolution has hired 140 people at this new studio and expects to hire up to 400 workers.
The positions include technical, production, administrative, information technology, and security.
“With the addition of Evolution, we are continuing to provide a modern, technologically advanced gaming experience that provides an elevated user experience for eligible residents and is competitive with our neighboring states,” Lamont said in a statement.
“Connecticut has proven to be a leader when it comes to the gaming economy going back decades, and this expansion allows those who want to participate to continue doing so, responsibly.”
Evolution Soft Launch Underway
“We are proud of the hard work our Gaming Division has done to ensure Evolution’s facilities and offerings meet the high standards set by our regulations to create a safe and successful opportunity for live dealer games in Connecticut’s online gaming marketplace,” Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull said in the release.
“We encourage anyone who chooses to participate in this new form of online gaming to do so responsibly by monitoring their activity and setting limits for themselves utilizing the tools that are required to be available on these platforms.”
Authorized by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, Evolution began operations at 11 a.m. ET on July 11 under a seven-day soft launch.
Evolution will supply live dealer games to both DraftKings and FanDuel, which have existing online casinos in Connecticut.
During these seven days, blackjack and roulette will be “available to a limited number of participants.”
Looking to Go Live Next Week
Evolution will have a full launch on July 18, “pending the resolution of any issues discovered in the soft launch.”
Throughout the soft-launch period, the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection will monitor Evolution to ensure state online gaming regulations are met.
In Connecticut, the law requires Evolution to operate an in-state facility to offer live dealer games to online gaming platforms in the state.
