Pace-O-Matic Supports PA STEM Initiative

Taking a break from the controversy it usually creates among operators of Pennyslvania online casinos, leading skill games distributor Pace-O-Matic recently announced its support of a Penn College BAJA SAE event in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

While Pace-O-Matic has recently found itself in the center of a maelstrom as to how skill games should be taxed in Pennsylvania, with some arguing for their banning, this time round the organization was in the news for the best reason ever - providing nearly 7,000 meals to SAE students during the four-day event organized by Penn College.

PA Students Shows Off Skills in Event That ‘Puts Pennsylvania on the Map’

The event saw students from across the US, including the Keystone state, pushing the boundaries of innovation and performance and engaging in real-world engineering challenges in an event that Bradley M. Webb, dean of engineering technologies at Penn College, described as “putting Pennsylvania and Williamsport on the map”.

In the 25 years it’s been running, this was the first time that the competition was being held in Pennsylvania. The Penn College BAJA SAE sponsorship is part of a long-standing partnership between the Pennsylvania College of Technology and Pace-O-Matic.

In a statement about its Platinum Sponsorship of the event, Pace-O-Matic stated: “For Pace-O-Matic, sponsorships like this are more than just supporting amazing initiatives – they are investing in our future. By championing STEM education and affording students the opportunity to engage in real-world engineering challenges, Pace-O-Matic hopes to play a small role in nurturing the next generation of inventors, innovators, and problem-solvers.”

Whether initiatives like these will have an impact on an upcoming court case to overturn the banning of skill games in Philadelphia remains to be seen.
